CHERRY BLOSSOM SEASON IN JAPAN 4K 🌸 Stunning Spring Sakura Hike! | Okayama Prefecture

Today we go on a hike during the peak of cherry blossom season and get stunning views of a sakura grove and the seto inland sea! We also come across the strangest wild animals we have ever seen, and a old adandoned hotel! 😲

Mt. Ōjigatake is a mountain with lots of oddly shaped rocks on the border between two cities – Tamano (玉野) and Kurashiki (倉敷) in our home prefecture of Okayama. The Smiley Rock, or Nikoniko Rock (ニコニコ岩) is the landmark of Mt. Ōjigatake and the summit of the hike. The ‘hike’ is very short and well marked, it might be better to just call it a walk.

The spring season in Japan is incredible and the cherry blossom season is short, so we are so glad we had the perfect weather for this day trip in the Okayama prefecture.

💢***Sadly we learned later that day that the tanuki’s we came across were diseased and mange. Although it was obvious they were unwell, it was sad for our first time seeing these animals to be such a shock that we didn’t even recognize them.
