Kyoto Japan has no tourists and even locals are not being as adventurous. In this video I invite @A Lito Bit of Japan and @Check Out Chika Residents from the area to hang out and chat about the issue.

  1. Hopefully soon they'll be thriving again. I'll probably be living there next year in July.

  2. Nathan the quality of your videos is stellar!! I will miss your coverage of Japan from directly within her boarders 😭🦌

  3. I think that 99% of people living in foreign countries who already have a good knowledge and experience with Japan and who want to visit again will be very mindful about masks, social distancing and hand washing, when needed. This includes myself!
And yes, I've been to Japan many times, but there are places I've never been to that I want to explore – get off the beaten track, as you say.🦌🦌

  4. 🦌 Kyoto will bounce back, but can't wait to explore the less popular areas too!

  5. I enjoyed both the live stream and this condensed version with the energetic Lito and the beautiful Chika. You highlighted the two sides of tourism very directly. Too many tourists changing the very nature of Kyoto and affecting how the the locals are or are not able to experience their home city in an enjoyable way. This directly contrasts with the present situation of too few foreign and domestic tourists are directly affecting the economy of the city and area. Kyoto was supper crowded in March 2018 and I was really only there for one day, and time and crowds restricted what could be seen and experienced. Excellent Video. 🦌

  6. The Japanese govt does not care. They are afraid of how some people will react more to foreigners being allowed in more than the economic impacts of foreigners not visiting

  7. The problem is The Blind Government, tell them tourism individual or in groups generate million $ or billions $ in 1year

  8. Japanese people are thought to be kind to foreigners, but they are actually very racist.
I oppose foreigners living in Japan. Japan has made efforts from its old history to make it what it is today.
I really hate foreigners who abandon their own country and just enjoy the fun things about Japan today.

  9. You are free to like Japan, but to do something for your own country is patriotism.
Foreigners who want to move to Japan are traitors from the perspective of their homeland.
I and many Japanese are against foreigners living in Japan in the same way I am against British rule like Ireland.

  10. The poor girl is still brainwashed 😔 needs to move on. It’s not where we were 3 years ago. It’s time to move. Btw love the new video styles!!!

  11. Most definitely Kyoto and other iconic "must see" Japan destinations need to implement reasonable limitations to protect the spirit of sacred spaces. One only has to look to Bhutan for example to examine these kinds of policies on one hand but obviously something tied to timed ticketing must occur.
