Today, we are visiting the gorgeous island of Taketomi! π€©
It is located near Ishigaki island and you can get to Taketomi by a quick 10-15min boat ride from Ishigaki port.
Taketomi is relatively small so you can easily visit it in one day by walking or cycling. In the center of the island, you will find a traditional Ryukyu village with old-style house built without stone walls and red roof tiles. The best place to admire this village is from the Nagominoto Tower from where we will start the video.
Another famous feature of Taketomi island is the buffalos. Indeed, you can ride a buffalo cart in Taketomi and visit the island slowly and comfortably.
Last but not least, the beaches in Taketomi are absolutely amazing. The best ones are located on the west side of the island and you should not miss them! π
