Today we do a crane game challenge with 50 tries at a Japanese Game Center in Osaka! We spend 5000 yen on the claw machine/ UFO catcher to see how much we can win! Arcades in Japan are really fun but we’ve never spent more a few dollars on them before, clearly πŸ€ͺ

  1. I'm new to your channel. What I heard is that japanese crane games are payout games, so you have to put a special amount of money in to get a prize otherwise the crane will drop the prize again. On some machines there are green and yellow tags (looks like a shield) that means they are easier to play.

  2. Hey guys! I would definitely recommend checking out kawaii arcade masters they have great tips, from my experience, I would recommend going to a different arcade not round 1 and yes the games are payout based the majority of the time

  3. Also if you want help you can ask a worker and they will reposition the item for you

  4. A tip from someone who plays claw machines.. a lot. When you would get the prize close to the chute, I noticed you would always go for the part of the body that was furthest away from the chute. Like for example, hello kittys head was touching the win area, but you went for the feet, which drug her further away. If you'd continue to go for the head, same with Yoshi, you'd likely have won both of them.

The concept is that the head will be lifted further and further in that direction until you teeter it over.

  5. I also noticed you kept going straight for the grab, or for the body. It will never just lift it up and carry it to the prize chute like an american claw machine. You have to use technique to get it. Hope this helps

  6. I think there’s a UFO catcher university in Japan, which basically teaches how to get the prizes. Some youtubers showed that they could get any prize with only a few tries, or they would know immediately which ones were impossible to get. Sometimes you even have to go for the tag! It’s tricky, but the tricks actually work (I tried a few years ago).
