This episode begins with a recap of the challenges faced while sailing in Costa Rica. While we loved Costa Rica as a country maybe next we will come back without the boat ๐Ÿ™ƒ. We faced many rolly anchorages, rapidly changing weather conditions, and expensive port officials. Suffice to say we were ready for a bit of a change by the time we pulled into Papaguyo Marina. This marina has beautiful grounds and lots of pools to play in. It was the perfect spot to catch up on sleep after a lot of rocking and rolling, make repairs on the boat & get prepared for our upcoming passage in blissful a/c, and take ALL the hot showers in the world!

  1. So you know, they are called katbatic winds. : – ) BTW – Loved the episode! That marina looked very nice compared to the rolly anchorages that you've had to deal with. It was nice you guys could be your own "exit" agents and save all that $.

  2. Great everything ๐Ÿ‘Yโ€™all are getting better and better all the time, glad Bill enjoying being in front of the camera! Ignore the comments on the Man hair ๐ŸฅดLove the reality of you two telling it like it is.I seen a comment on sailing One Life that you complained too much but donโ€™t listen cause when things break or weathers bad we donโ€™t much like it ๐Ÿ˜Really loved all the nature scenes and really all of it!!Also the news subscribers Wow I knew it was coming, congratulations on your successful journey of sailing around the world and sharing with the world ๐ŸŒŽ

  3. Oh I donโ€™t know how everyone else thinks but when youโ€™re sailing or whatever the natural sounds is what I ๐Ÿ‘ hope some others express their feelings on when to go all natural sounds or music. But it was great and I enjoyed all of it ๐Ÿ™Thanks

  4. โ€œPumas, boa constrictors, and really venomous spidersโ€ฆโ€ and Grace giggling ๐Ÿคญ

  5. But but but the fishing is awesome! Lol.The anchorageโ€™s looked No bueno. Do you throw everything on the floor before you go sleep? Ya know the falling stuff is nerve wracking! Lol.

  6. ok, guys…I never comment on sailing channels. this I had to because: you did a brilliant job implementing time lapse, slow mo…and keeping it YOUR channel. I truly like how you are buddy boating with Delos, but only include them sparingly, respect! the quality was HD worthy and how you blend all the elements was worthy of a 5 star review! I will see you guys next winter in Mx…leaving from anacortes Aug 2023

  7. So how does the checking out of a country work. Do you have to leave right away, or can you gunkhole a couple of days then leave?

  8. I have watched a lot of sailing videos which have exposed me to many places in the world of which I had little knowledge, Costa Rica being one of them. However I have never seen any videos of people sailing the coasts of China, Korea, Northeast Russia or Japan. Are these places just not good sailing, unfriendly, too expensive or ??? Any explanations?

  9. Thanks Grace for all of your narration and editing. Enjoyed the tour of Costa Rica. Wishing you cool, good wind sailing. Blessings

  10. Costa Rica is a pain in the ass to get in and out, and a rip off for hiring an agent. So many people shy away from visiting there for their bureaucracies. Thanks for the great video, fair winds. โ›ต๏ธโš“๏ธ๐ŸŸ

  11. Hey guys!! Man I need A C too! Gotta have it, thankfully you do ๐Ÿ˜ Grace I totally understand your solo walks. When I belonged to CMGC golf course in N.H. a quiet, out in the country course I could get 9 holes in alone. I loved the solitude, being in my own space, its comfortable. Bill, what did you cover your lifelines with ? Makes for a nice backrest. Reminds me of sitting portside off the Carolina's, heeled over in 24 knots of wind, beating into it at 40 degrees. Lifeline in my back, ocean spray in my face, loving every second of it!! Man I gotta get back haha. Good stuff guys!! Be well. Boat show is coming !!

  12. I love hearing and seeing all the nature you show on your videos. I will be in Cabo for 2weeks the beginning of November. Were are you now

  13. Thanks for the fun look at Costa Rica and itโ€™s beauty and challenges for cruisers! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค—

  15. Great videos, makes me want to go there. Just curious how many gallons of diesel you start off with when making a long passage up the coast?

  16. Another groovy episode as usual. One thing you world sailors all have in common, is when you dock in the harbor with a hotel with hot showers and a swimming pool, you all rush to both almost as soon as you pull in. Having a very long, hot shower and then relaxing with a clean swimming pool with no sharks or jellyfish. priceless. Stay groovy and stay safe.
