This video is part of Streets of the Americas series. Today we will be driving in south side Chicago on South Stony Island Avenue from 95th Street in Calumet Heights Neighborhood to 56th Street in Hyde Park by Jackson Park and vicinity of University of Chicago. We will be driving north bound from Calumet Heights neighborhood and will be passing through Avalon Park, South Shore, Woodlawn and eventually T bone at 56th street in Hyde Park where the streets ends for good.
Stony Island Avenue is a major street on South Side of the city of Chicago, designated 1600 East in Chicago’s street numbering system. It runs from 56th Street south to the Calumet River. Stony Island Avenue continues sporadically south of the Calumet in the southern suburbs, running alongside the Bishop Ford Freeway, sometimes as a frontage road. It terminates at County Line Road on the border of Will and Kankakee Counties.
Today we will cover the Chicago portions of this avenue. The boulevard like wide street and store fronts along the way can make the ride enjoyable. The trip today is 4.9 miles in distance and 14 minutes to complete. Enjoy and stay safe.

I will be uploading videos almost on a daily basis documenting the impact of corona virus around Chicagoland area during the Covid 19 Pandemic outside of my channel’s scheduled weekly uploads. Please take time to watch how this has really affected our lives during this crisis. And everyone out there please stay safe.
