We are going to tell you everything you need to know about Celebrity Cruises. There are so many different cruise lines each with their own personality. We want to help you decide if Celebrity Cruises is the right cruise line for you and help you know how to prepare for your upcoming sailing.

We our Celebrity Cruises need to know video looking at Celebrity Cruises fleet. Celebrity ships are known for their luxury, technology and reimagined venues. Celebrity Cruises is owned by Royal Caribbean International and has 16 ships in its fleet ranging from the Celebrity Xploration which has a guest capacity of 16 to Celebrity Reflection which has a guest capacity of 3,480. They have four main classes of ships. The Galapagos is for expedition travel in Ecuador, Edge is the newest class with the magic carpet cantilevered on the side of the ship and currently the Solstice and Millennium make up most of the fleet. Celebrity Cruises Apex is the sister ship of the Edge which is what we sailed on this past summer.

Celebrity Cruises dining and drinks is a big category when it comes to sailing. This is an important Celebrity Cruises must know section if you are a first time cruiser. Right now Celebrity Cruises are offering the Always Included deal. This includes unlimited classic drinks, unlimited wifi and free gratuities. So what does classic drinks mean? This covers all drinks on the menu that are $9 or less. This is most typical liquors, cocktails, beers, soda, bottled water, coffee and fun fancy coffee.

In our Celebrity Cruises review we take a thorough look at dining. Celebrity Cruises are known for their great quality and very unique dining experiences. Their main dining room has great quality food and a good selection. Even better on the new edge class there are 4 different MDRs that are all included. Each has its own theme and special menu options including a set menu that is available in all 4 dining rooms. Linda’s favorite was Cyprus which is Mediterranean inspired. Aron’s favorite was Tuscan which is Italian themed. Cosmopolitan is new american with global influences and Normandie has a french inspired menu.

Celebrity Cruises update to their venues takes cruising to another level. Celebrity cruises has designed lots of great spaces for organized entertainment or just to enjoy. We found ourselves in The Club almost everyday. This space will offer activities from day to night. It is great to either watch or participate in the activities as there is a balcony which overlooks all the fun. Eden is a gorgeous entertainment space with a bar, great views and lots of seating. You can come and enjoy the live music in the evenings and relax with your morning coffee and watch the waves.

  2. I book Celebrity Constellation several years ago after reading that the ship was going to be revolutionized. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, dry dock refurbishment has been postponed and now I’m a little apprehensive about the condition of the ship.

  3. Room service is a charge depending on the time of day and there are up charges on certain items. Plus you mentioned the indulge upgrade package but failed to mention the simple upgrade for just beverages from Classic to Premium, which is $10/day plus 20% and worth it without buying the full indulge bundle.

  4. Congrats on hitting 10k 🎉🎉 the ship looks amazing! I always enjoy the complementary room service for a late night snack. I think I could see myself on those loungers in the pool! -S

  5. Are you sure the regular drink package has a limit of $9 per drink ? Just talked to someone at Celebrity, and they say that the value of each drink has now gone to $11 per drink minimum.

  6. Thank you for such an informative video! The images are beutiful. There is something about drink packages that confuses me. The classic package is supossed to include a certain variety of wines by the glass, but apparently the cheapest glass costos 10 dollars now a days. Celebrity keeps the maximum cost at 9 dollars per beverage in the classic package. So, in reality, the classic package does not include wine any more. Or am I wrong? Martinis cost 15, 50 dollars or more. So, even the premium package does not include martinis any more. Celebrity should move those limits up I believe.

  7. I have sailed 13+ trips with Celebrity and enjoyed every one. I am hopeful/anxious for my next back-to-back Asia-Vancouver. Please that COVID ends as Japan is still on CDC's #4 list. This will be on Celebrity Solstice, hopeful for something on Edge Class in future.
Thank you for your informative video.

  8. I’m disabled and we’ve cruised with Celebrity 3 times and the onboard facilities are great and the staff are always willing to help. Good on you for highlighting this in your videos

  9. After sailing on most cruise lines I will only choose Celebrity. The food is top notch and only used the main dining room and buffet. Love the relaxed atmosphere in the solarium and fewer kids around. We are eagerly looking forward to returning to cruising after covid.

  10. I just sailed on the Celebrity Reflection. Just want to say a small kids area is better than no area. Small is not always bad. My son had a blast at kids camp. The camp crew were fantastic. They gave this single mom a wonderful gift. Time to enjoy some adventure and activities with my son and some time to myself for adult activities. I new he was in great hands and I could relax and enjoy. We both had a wonderful time.

  11. So excited to be going on celebrity edge for our honeymoon next week 😊 it'll be my first celebrity cruise

  12. Please S L O W down your commentary as it appears to be loaded with information….thanks for your effort and we find Celebrity an excellent cruise line sailing Equinox and Reflection….again…thanks…will check back….👍🏻

  13. I use to switch off between Celebrity and NCL. No more now for the last four years. Celebrity is my cruise line. First, they just give me more in terms of better rates, more included in the rate, and more OBC. NCL cannot beat their prices for suites. I also love Luminae and the luxury of it all and being treated like a king. My cruise line for sure.

  14. Thanks for your video Flamingo..a lot of effort…I used the "cc" this time and gleaned a bunch of info… have sailed the Soltice class and next year the Millennium class…no a big fan of the Edge class ships, but would give it a try if Captain Kate, makes it to America.
I agree totally with your Celebrity breakdown…We sail the sunset verandas for a great 180* view……….Keep 'em coming….👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  15. The WIFI that comes standard is the SURF package which is not meant to stream video, music, or Zoom calls. You can easily upgrade ($) to the Streaming WIFI or if you get a Suite, streaming WIFI is complimentary. Solstice Class ships have many different venues than EDGE class that was shown here so check them out since the Sunset Bar, Martini Bar, Cellar Masters, and many other venues and specialty dining is substantially different. We LOVE Celebrity and have been on many Solstice Class and EDGE. Good video but more Solstice and Millennium class content would have been helpful.

  16. You've answered a number of my questions. Just booked our first Celebrity cruise – 12 days from Sydney to Auckland in late December. We are discoverer status on Azamara, the former big brother of the line, and clearly there are differences. Size most notably. Celebrity is dramatically less expensive than Azamara, but it looks like we are going to get hit for spa passes and specialty restaurant dining. Nice to know in advance. We knew we were in for much larger ships, that is going to be a new world for us. I suspect we aren't going to be happy with that, but you never know. All in all, you put up a great introduction for us, and it is greatly appreciated. Happy sailings to your next destination!

  17. We have been sailing with Celebrity for years and are members of the Captains club at the Elite level, enjoy priority boarding, last cruise was on Edge In Aqua Class. Really enjoyed Blue Restaurant service and food. Also the once a week seafood buffet.

  18. Just come off a cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette, very poor service, long queues, cold food in the buffet, inexperienced staff…not the Celebrity experience we have come to expect. The best I can say is they compare unfavourably with MSC. We have another cruise booked for later in the year, hoping this is an aberration, considering cancelling.

  19. We sailed on the Celebrity for the first time on the Constellation in November 2021 and loved it. The service and the meals were excellent. The ship's Captain came up to our table one of the first few nights and welcomed us individually on board. The entertainment was very good, and the shore excursion list was good. We have booked another Celebrity cruise for November 2022.

  20. I ❤ Celebrity. One more cruise and I get free laundry 😏 I never noticed the kids area compared to the gym area. Shows what their passengers demand.

  21. My job as the Grumpy Guy!!! or
“I'm the guy with bad attitude”

I'm having a effing great time on this cruise and I mean that with all the facetiousness and insincerity I can muster on this trip. Mustering is a good term. Too bad the mustering is only done online with watching a few videos, and showing up on the designated deck just to have someone check off that I showed up on the designated deck. There was no practice putting on lifejackets, no practice getting on lifeboats. We only did one cruise several years ago, prior to this one and I felt safer on that one, because we were taught, with practice, how to put on the lifejackets.

Let's look at the music and other sounds on this ship. They play pop music all day in the buffet, at annoyingly loud volumes. I spoke with the buffet manager about this on the second day and he reduced the volume some, but it is still bothersome. The live music and shows would be good or even acceptable but the volume is intolerable. I had to bail out of the first live show last night after about 15 minutes because of the volume. What makes this worse is the echo. All the music and the ship noises echo thoughout the ship. There only a couple of places I can find that are QUIET!! I've had a headache since I boarded this ship, but I don't want to stay in my room all the time for an 12 day cruise. If I had to do that, I'd rather fly to my destination, and spend all of my vacation there in my hotel, rather than suffer from the torment of the noise. I went to the Guest Relations desk to complain and to see if there was anything that could be done, and I was told that I should go back to my room for the duration, or wear earplugs. ARRGGGHHHHH!

Did I mention I've been laughed at by the staff in Guest Relations twice now? Once when I first complained about the volume of the entertainment, and another time when I was trying to locate my wife for a medical appointment. Also, my wife was laughed at by a staff member as she was trying to dance the hula while the staff member was helping her with her plate to our table. My wife felt that this was an unfriendly laugh, and felt somewhat insulted.

Hey, let's write about another fun experience I had today. We had purchased an excursion for today and nobody delivered the tickets to our room. I went down to Guest Relations to find out about the tickets. The first time, I was just told to go to the pier 15 min prior to the time for the excursion and the tour operator would have our names for his list, but no mention of how we were supposed to get to the pier, no mention of how soon we should board the tender, as I found out we were supposed to do. Remember, we had not received our tickets, so we had no instructions as to what to do. The next time I called the Guest Relations desk, I was told that I had to stand in the standby line to see about my tickets. Why should we be placed on standby when I had already paid for the excursion online weeks before the cruise? I was PO'ed and blew up at the staff member, then to everyone who witnessed the event, letting them know just how much of a “fun time” I was having on this cruise. Eventually, I found out when and where and what we we're supposed to do from another call to Guest Relations, but time was running short and we had to leave our cabin immediately in order to catch a tender and get to the pier on time for our excursion. It gets more fun. When we got to the pier, the staff member working on excursions, at first said that she had no record of us for the excursion, which I had expected to happen considering how everything had been going on this cruise. Eventually, the issue was resolved and I was offered a $20 refund for each ticket (3 of us). The $60 has been credited to my shipboard account. One amazing thing that happened when we returned from the excursion is this: The cruise director was on the same tender as we were when we returned from the excursion. I told her my whole sad story and she promised to speak to someone about it, but not to expect anything about the volume. I'm not, but at least she didn't laugh. If I can get an email address for her or anyone else on this ship or in upper management, they will be cc:'ed on this email as well as every Youtube channel I've been following dealing with cruising.

And a new complaint is being added to the list. We went to the main dining facility for dinner last night. Now, I've complained to every staff member I've spoken to on this ship about my experiences on this cruise, so much so that know us by name, especially about my ongoing never-ending headache. So, where did the maitre'd sit us, but right next to the noisiest place in the facility, the bus station where the waiters, and the assistant waiters, and the busboys are banging and clanging the dishes as they scrape the food particles from the dirty dishes. So noisy that I had to go back to our cabin and get my noise-cancelling headphones. I wore them throughout dinner, both in order to reduce the noise for me, and as a form of protest about our sitting arrangements.

I'm starting the -3Db Revolution, so called as an attempt to get the volume in the entertainment system reduced by 3Db. If we don't complain, our problems won't be resolved!

Again, I will be emailing everyone who might be in the least bit interested in reading about my experiences. I will provide the cruise line name and ship name upon personal request. You can do whatever you want with that information.

    Just call me,

    The Grumpy Guy
    Bob Thompson

PS. the most fun I've had on this cruise is folding paper airplanes and tossing them across the elevator shaft. Also, writing this email has been somewhat satisfying, but it doesn't make up for being laughed at when I complained.

    BT

  22. What are the smoking options? We’re going Constellation and it’s not clear where you can smoke? Thank you for a great video.

  23. You do know that the term most unique is redundant? Unique means singular. One of a kind. So something is either unique or not. It cannot be more or most unique.

  24. Celebrity is our go to cruise line. 3 of our last 8 have been with them. Last one was pre pandemic in 2019 on a 12 day Mediterranean on Infinity that was amazing. We have been on Summit and Equinox and eventually will try the Edge class.

  25. Going on a Celebrity Constellation cruise in November. I've cruised on many cruise lines, but never on Celebrity, so looking forward to it!!

  26. This is the first time me and my wife have been on a cruise we are going on the Celebrity Millennium for an Alaskan Cruise boarding in Seward Alaska and getting off in Vancouver British Columbia . Wasn't really my idea so I will report later on after I am finished with it I am going on the cruise first week of July thanks for your post because I had some questions that you answered.

  27. We are members of the Captains club at the Elite level. Enjoy the great food, normally get veranda room or Aqua class, have sailed on several other cruise ships but always come back to Celebrity.

  28. So happy to hear that they are Autism friendly! My 5 year old still isn't fully potty trained and that's been such an issue w us for cruising. I don't see why other lines can't give you a pager for if your child needs to be changed. I will be looking at Celebrity for our next cruise after hearing this!

  29. Annoying you made a thumbnail and title that the video was going to be about Celebrity Cruises, but then you pretty much only talked about the Edge class ships.

  30. I’ve only sailed on RCL but contemplating booking a b2b with celebrity out of ft. Lauderdale this February…… looks like a great cruise line!

    Thx for the informative video!

  31. How is the dress code? Looking for a grown up, classy experience on the apex in October. Just finished an Ncl and never again, swimsuits in the main dining, no shoes , kids running through the tables. Food was mediocre and usually cold by the time it reached the table. Not even going to mention the pool built for 20 with over 100 people jammed in it.

  32. thx for this, very good. When we had a retreat suite in Feb 2020 we could also use Blu restaurant as well as the Luminae.

  33. We love Celebrity but it is such a shame they do not have laundromat facilities. Princess does on every deck.

  34. We did the Equinox. We got to sail with Captain Kate. It was an awesome experience. The Blown glass class was very cool. It made for a great souvenir. We booked Aqua class. The spa was ok but the restaurant, Blu, made up for it. I’m looking forward to cruising with Celebrity again. My husband loved the solarium. It was air conditioned, and it was nice to be able to get food right there.
