A 4K morning drive from Irohazaka, Nikko City Tochigi to Marunuma Kogen, Katashina Village Gunma.
The drive starts at the bottom of Irohazaka (Alt. 800) , goes up to Lake Chuzenji (Alt. 1,269m) passing through many hairpin corners and then goes up again to Konsei Tunnel. (Alt. 1,843m) The drive finally ends at Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort which has the ropeway to Mt. Nikko Shirane observatory & trailhead.

Wow! This is fantastic. I have traveled this road as far as the temple at Lake Chuzenji by bus. This video shows the Irohazaka up road. The down road is even more spectacular. I had the front seat on the bus. The skill of the driver was phenomenal, negotiating the tight hairpins with only inches to spare from the barriers. Thank you so much. Please post a video of your trip back down to Nikko.
