◆Kyoto Kawaramachi Station is a station on the Hankyu-Kyoto Main Line, located in Nishiiri Shincho, Shijo-dori Kawaramachi, Shimokyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The station number is HK-86.

Overview
At the end of the Hankyu Kyoto Line, it opened in 1963 as an extension from Omiya Station. It is located in Shijo Kawaramachi, the largest downtown area in Kyoto City, and Gion, an entertainment district, spreads out on the east side across the Shijo Ohashi Bridge over the Kamo River. On October 1, 2019, the name was changed from Kawaramachi Station to make it easier for domestic and foreign tourists to understand that this station is located in the center of Kyoto City [2] [3]. From the beginning of the business, it has been called “Kyoto Kawaramachi (station)” [4] in the in-car broadcast and the guide broadcast of each station, and there is no change even after the name change. (There was a time when it was simply called “Kawaramachi (station)” only for a while).

◆京都河原町駅（きょうとかわらまちえき）は、京都府京都市下京区四条通河原町西入ル真町にある、阪急電鉄京都本線の駅。駅番号はHK-86。

概要
阪急京都線の終着で、1963年に大宮駅から延伸開業した。京都市最大の繁華街である四条河原町に位置しており、鴨川にかかる四条大橋を渡った東側には歓楽街の祇園が広がっている。2019年10月1日に、国内外の観光客にとって当駅が京都市の中心部に位置することをより分かりやすくするために河原町駅から改称された[2][3]。開業当初より車内放送や各駅の案内放送では「京都河原町（駅）」[4]と呼称しており、改称後も変更はない。（一時期のみ、単に「河原町（駅）」と称していた時期があった）。
