    🇩🇪🇷🇺 Letter from Russian Germans to all defenders of peace 🕊

    Dear liberators of Donbass and Ukraine from Nazism and Bendery. Russian Germans write to you from Germany. There are about five million of us in the Russian-German diaspora. Two-thirds support Putin and your actions.
    We are worried about you and wish everyone to return home safe and sound. To the people of Ukraine of the world.

    The Germans of Russia 80 years ago experienced a lot of terrible things together with all the peoples of the USSR. We remember history and do not want it to be repeated.
    Many societies have been created in our diaspora, which do a lot to preserve peace and friendship between Germany and Russia.
    In 2016, the first People's Diplomats visited Crimea, Donetsk, Lugansk. People's Diplomats gathered delegations more than twenty times and each time they were new people. In the same year we were joined by People's Diplomats from Norway, Holland, Austria and Belgium. They could not believe that the media presented everything in a distorted way.

    On trips around the Donbass, we met with its defenders and ordinary people. They bowed before the courage of the rebels. Upon returning to Germany, they collected help to restore what had been destroyed. We used every opportunity to tell the truth about what is really happening in Ukraine.

    On one such trip, we visited an orphanage. We were surrounded by children whose parents died under shelling by the Ukrainian army. They gave us their drawings. On which they called for peace, and that children do not become orphans. On Children's Day, in Germany, we held rallies where we showed these drawings.

    Every day for us begins with a "summary of the information bureau." We explain all the news to the younger generation, and to the older ones who do not have information from the Russian side. We, Russian-speaking Germans, have the opportunity to compare and analyze. What Europe says and does in the media, the Internet, have not lost touch with friends in Russia and Ukraine.

    There are a lot of believers among Russian Germans who pray at their divine services for a speedy end to the conflict, for peace. So that everyone can return home safe and sound.
    They pray that politicians will finally realize that the most important thing is not pressure by force and weapons, but mutual trust and negotiations.
