Despite some original fears about attendance, Fringe is BACK WITH A BANG! And by Bang I mean a total inability to leave the house without having to machete my way through hundreds of people! But hey, that’s the spirit of Edinburgh festival season: with all the bad comes much good, daily shows, nighttime food, fun pop ups, extra money for businesses that had to wait years for visitors to come back! So join me for a Fringe Vlog 2022 and check out if you could take the levels of EXTREME TOURISM this event brings to town!!!
Let me know in the comment section what are the best shows on the Fringe, what is your fave Fringe food find, and where you hide from the crowds!

What are your favourite Fringe gigs? Feel free to share your recommendations here!
Hey hey notification squad!!! Is Fringe 2022 too busy for you? Or is it NOT BUSY ENOUGH?!
Is there an information source that the festival has for people traveling from overseas to the festival? I wouldn't know what to expect for hotels, access to shows etc.
The festival looks like a total blast. Thank you for this update! I appreciate the tips about where to buy food and about the events.
There's a pita hut in Georgia Sq which has vegetarian and vegan choices I think. I had a chickpea pita which was very tasty.
OMG! I love your shirt!
Favourite shows so far:
– Age is a feeling
– Kathy and Stella solve a murder
both at Summehall ππ
It wasnβt bad as far as the number of people are concerned. We enjoyed the first week of the Fringe. Now, I would love to return during a calmer time.
The festival is super exciting, but the amount of garbage everywhere is annoying. Thanks for the food recommendations! Heading to the japanese food truck ASAP

11:10 stay off the drugs
I live next door to the pleasance (venue 33) which is the biggest comedy venue at the fringe and it's much much muich quieter than normal. this year was planned to be smaller and next year back to bloody insanity levels where you cannot walk up the high street for people.
This is deffo a quiet one
For comedy, if you like one liners and puns, I would suggest going to see Adele Cliff at the Tron.
As a vegetarian,…I ordered a hamburger without the beef……..with extra mayo…….excellent!
Hello beautiful πΉ and wederful people and perfect contry
Wow !! Nice to see your video. Very beautifully articulated. I live in this beautiful City Edinburgh . I am a Software engineer by profession but a youtuber by Hobby and recently started my YouTube channel named "Travel with DJ" after taking inspiration from your YouTube videos. Cheers to your work.
So many edinburgh vloggers theses days lol π
AHHH IM SO EXCITED TO GO TO SCOTLAND IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!ππ Iβve been watching your channel for a year now since Iβve been planning my trip and Iβm so hyped! Iβve never been outside of my state and not even on a plane so Iβm so excited for Scotland to be my first vacation everππ»π
Go on holiday whilst the Fringe and Festival is on and rent out your flat to visitors.
Kakibot…. how about a video starting at Balerno and following the Water of Leith down to Leith itself. Include some of the attractions en route.
We are coming to Edinburgh for the first time with my fiance in week 34 and I am a bit scared of the amount of people, because of the Fringe. Does the festival show in Edinburghs main attractions or is it more packed in the main festival areas?
Traveled from New York to see the Fringe this year. Been keeping my eyes open to see if I can spot a Kakibot in the wild, but alas…no luck.
So far we saw a production based on the Cabinet of Doctor Caligari…that wasnt the greatest…but last night we saw The Tiger Lilies One Penny Opera that was really cool…and a fantastic improv show at 1am last night down at the Banshees Labyrinth.
It's pretty cold and rainy today so we're not sure what to do? Any suggestions?
any tips for getting cheap accommodation? I don't want to stay in Aberdeen or something
Fringe is amazing. There is a smile, friendship and positive energy. I recommend staying in Edinburgh. I am charmed by "Arround the World with Nellie Bly". I recommend really amazing horror "Whispers" and "After". I love your video, you're awesome!
Hey ! I have alotss and lotss of questions about living in Edinburgh, I really always wanted to live in Scotland but I still have alot Doubts, so Is it getting more expensive there ? Is it okey to migrate to less at 18-19 or in 20 years ?
Thankss π
I can recommend Czech show Runners – it's got an hour fully packed with theatre, dance, music, exercise, emotions…and running π
I went with my family 12-15th August. Had a great time! Took my children to Game On free show and they loved it. Also Dragons and mythical beasts was amazing at McEwan Hall Underbelly. Holy Cow has lovely vegan food.
I wish I could go this year so £££
Lobster? Man the fringe has changed π Great vid as always.
Hey Kakibot. Great video again. I'm already back home after a week of fringe (as I do every year). My recommendations for comedy are Daniel Sloss and Alasdair Beckett-King. They are both hilarious in totally different ways. Hamlet with Sir Ian McKellen was also really impressive. But for me Fringe is also about taking a flyer on the street from a random person and see their shows. You will definitely some gems there as well. Cheers from Switzerland!
We plan on coming soon…. hopefully missing the crowds… when does Fringe end? Lol
Great to see that Covid didn't kill the fringe and it seems to have sprung back in full health. I always used to take a week off in August and just be a (local) tourist in Edinburgh, though it seems to be a lot more involved than back, 20 years ago!
