If you want to rent a house or apartment in La Paz, this video is for you. When people first arrive in Mexico from another country, it’s typical to rent a fully furnished house or apartment to get settled. If you are staying for years, you’ll probably want to rent a place that doesn’t include furnishing, but in this video we are mostly covering fully furnished, ready to move in apartments and homes.

  1. As always Brighton delivers . Good info sir. 1 question (mostly unrelated to your video) What the heck is going on in Northern Mexico ? Was I wrong thinking it was drivable ? P n D

  2. Wow!!! $3 k-$4k who is moving there sounds like a rip off and in Mexico NO THANKS…

  3. I rent a condo from Anabelle at La Paz Bay. The complex I'm in is shown at around 11:1511:30 in the video. My condo is 2bd, 2bath, and is very nice! It is just a couple years old, and has exclusive use of the roof top terrace as well as a nice patio. I have a great view of the ocean as well as the city. Watching the sun set while having a margarita is perfect!

I am paying $1200 plus utilities. The unit was literally ready to sleep in, with everything, just like an Air BNB but with a 6 month lease.
There are cheaper options, but… I am very happy with the value I received, as well as the level of service I get out of the team at La Paz Bay.

In my opinion this is a great gateway to living in La Paz. You do not need to know how to do anything, like setting up utilities, etc… Anabelle takes care of that for you. You just show up with your suitcase full of clothes.

I needed a place for six months, and will be moving onto my boat at the marina when it arrives in Mid November. The condo I rented was perfect to bridge the gap between air BNB and "normal" life in a new country and all that entails.

  4. Thanks Brighton! As you know, I am here in La Paz right now, looking for an affordable place to rent. $4000 a month is a lot. More than I can afford.

  5. My mom is going to be renting for 6 months next year. She plans on doing this every year. This video is great! We have family but I like to see options. We have an advantage, we know the area, have lots of friends and family and can speak Spanish.

  6. Plan to visit La Paz in November. My son just moved to Cabo, so I plan to check out both places, and also San Jose Del Cabo. Plan to also bounce around other areas of Mexico this winter. Thanks for the info. I see from other comments, some people didn't watch until the end where you talk about cheaper options.

  7. Hola Brighton. We stayed 3 months in La Paz last winter into Spring and rented at the Condos Salvatierra. 2 blocks back from the Malecon. 2 bedroom 3 bath, huge 4th floor location. Views like crazy. $ 1,100 per month. We paid for electricity. $25 USD for the whole 3 months. There are great options all over town. We love La Paz because of the Locals to Tourist ratio. Never heard an unkind word or had a bad experience. We'll be back in April.
    Saludos.

  8. Thank you for the video! La Paz has rents for every budget. Some of the fancy ones are expensive but you can still find deals!!!

  9. Hola Brighton. Actually, I think that Annabelle was one of our contacts but Andy Levy with La Paz Dream was the one to help finalize our agreement. She is fantastic and very professional. I think that she also has an interest in
La Coyota Pizza restaurant. She will be happy to help. She'll be setting us up again this Spring.

  10. Just an FYI, I did watch to the end of your Vlog and understand there are much more affordable living arrangements to be had! I love seeing all the high end places, even though I'd never be able to afford those prices, but a girl can sure dream! I'm just sad to see the gentrification happening in so many areas of Mexico. I'd love to see you Vlog about it sometime. What's really sad to see are the locals in Puerto Vallarta and many other tourist/expat areas being priced out of their homes on and close to the beach, and having to move into the slums the tourists never see or even have knowledge of. Many of these neighborhoods (PV for example) have a wall built around them so no one can see in. Just my humble opinion, but the expats who continue to pay the ridiculously high prices really hurts the Mexican Nationals when it comes to acquiring decent housing, food for their family's and living the quality of life they deserve and used to have. Minimum wage did go up by approximately 23% this year in Mexico, but that's still only 173-260 pesos a day, depending on whether they live in the Free Economic Zone of the Northern Border.

  11. Brighton, I know this particular Vlog has created quite the discussion and a bit of controversy but on the bright side in only a few hours it has 1,163 views, 100 likes and 60 plus comments which is good for the YouTube Algorithm. Keep the discussion going! I'd also like to mention how much I appreciate all the hard work, hours and dedication you put into your Vlogs. Muchas gracias!

  12. Good morning Brighton! Thank you for this video! It definitely highlighted some of the really nice places in the greater La Paz area. Based on the price range of these options, I will plan to “beat the bush” to find a place, once we settled on a location. Roaming the streets is half the fun.

Oh….and what will we look for………more folks like Captain Wayne! Live music access is one of our criteria.

    Safe travels!
