I had a meal inside Changi Prison in Singapore, cooked by inmates. Head to https://www.squarespace.com/GHIB to save 10% off your first purchase of a website or domain using code GHIB.
I was invited to the Grand Finale of the Yellow Ribbon Culinary Competition 2022 which seeks to upskill inmates and create awareness of the rehabilitation programs conducted in prisons. How’s the food cooked by inmates? Watch to find out.

  1. Truly a singaporean!! I’m so glad that you’re staying in Singapore! Even I, a Singaporean would visit your channel to see where should I eat! You’re videos are informative and you’re willing to learn and absorb information respectfully!

  2. 料理コンテストはすばらしいアイデアだなぁ。料理を説明する囚人たちもどことなく誇らしげでよかった。
    自信を取り戻してうまく社会復帰してほしいですね

  3. Actually it is not seldom to find prisons worldwide where you can eat partly very good dishes/ course meals at affordable prices. Most people do not know or they do not want to get through the procedures beforehand.

  4. Did you manage to meet dee kosh while in Changi Prison? Maybe can collab as well for food king 😆

  5. I hope they could find jobs and restart their lives again upon release. Thank to Ojisan and SPS for the video.

  6. Great vid! Btw "Changi" is pronounced as "Chang-nee" instead of "Chang-gi". But as always, looking forward to your vids!

  7. I think I'll book a flight to SG and rob a bank. Life is better in prison than in U.S. for most people.

  8. You are actually becoming 'more' Singaporean than some Singaporean… 🤣😂

  9. I think it would be more respectful to address them as chefs for this occasion rather than inmates.

  10. Ghib Ojisan good on you i was a huge fan of yours until today , huh it's not that genuinely you feel for these people and wanted to make a difference and show how life is like for them inside instead ya chose to be a "Govt. Bot "to showcase people on the outside the "huGeee-efforts" state is doing to change the prisoners by giving them a second chance as very recently close to 20 people have been hanged this year alone i mean let's be real this is 🇸🇬Singapore and you can't just go in there (Changi-prison) and start filming and showing wow!! the good food these bunch of incarnated men cooking . SG is highly regulated and to film something like this video it's not that simple anyone who's a influencer wake's up 1day and decides to go CH-prison and starts filming there while enjoying buffet 👆🏻 and posting it on your YT channel well you need a lot of
(approvals and permission's ) which you were Given ofcourse as you're a propaganda BoT. It doesn't takes a genius to understand while Singapore is binging on hanging all these fellas and suddenly you come up and show the other "Wow" side of jail it's basically to get acceptance from the people so they won't bat an eye when another execution is on the way .

  12. Singapore Changi Prison Inmates Culinary competition – satay stick use lemon grass as the stick. Each ingredient of dish is a part of emotional loving memory between inmate and late partner. One look on the chicken, and you can see its glossy and tender to whet the appetite. People eat with their eyes. Mix leftover masala into rice to make claypot rice. No waste.

  13. Actually satay meat wrap up with lemon grass originates from Bali, Indonesia. Maybe you wanna try Satay in Bali and it will amaze you.

  14. On behalf of BBDO, I want to discuss cooperation with you

I have dm you via email or ig

    Do check if interested

  15. Seems like the good chefs were somebodies before they were sentenced. White collar crimes I guess

  16. サムネにびっくり😅前に坊主にした時の⁉︎
    そろそろ床屋編くるかなw
