Not just at Disneyland, but just being at such a charming place and so close to the parks. Alpine Inn. We thought it would be cute to stay at too. Just don't. only the street facing facade is themed. It's tiny, loud, and there are cheaper, quieter, better maintained options across Harbor with a 2-3 min walk. We heard Radiator Springs Racers running the whole time from early AM testing, to closing time. So, not restful mid day or if you have little ones and want to get to bed before the park closes.
It was clean, but old and obviously less cared for.
I give it 3.5 out of 10. We won't stay there again
The Alpine. Ahhh yes I stayed once! One week at the Alpine cost us what one night at Grand Californian would have. Now this was back in like 2003 but I imagine the value is still good. The rooms are….. rooms 😅
Oh Jeeze I’ve stayed at the blue boy more than a few times as a teenager with a dream of cheap Disney hotels. Let’s just say you get what you’re paying for

The California Pizza Place on the corner of Harbor and Katella is pretty good. I go there a lot for lunch whenever I'm working in the area. And they open at 8am which is way earlier than any other pizza place in the area, if you want some early morning pizza 🍕.
Not bad, get a free hotel suite and they get five minutes of air time.
Greatly appreciate the recent upgrade to 4K distribution of Fresh Baked, makes watching on a TV much more enjoyable. Thank you!
We’ve stayed here a few times. The rooms could use some updating but overall it’s a nice place to stay. I love the big parking lot and the staff is really nice.
Have you tried the Alamo on West Katella? I've stayed there twice when I've been over there on my trips from the UK. I was last there back in January and it was a pleasure to stay there!!!! I think it must have been renovated from when I was there last in 2018, unbelivable value for money and as good as many higher priced hotels. I more than highly reccomend it and I'll be back there in Jan 2023 on my next trip out there!

We stay at the Anaheim that you walked by, it's okay, but it's less money than Castle and just a little closer.
Seeing you walk back to the hotel at the end of the night……….gave me that happy but sad feeling I always get at that same time. Happy because I had a great time with friends but sad that it’s over……….until next time. 😂

We stayed at Castle Inn with our teenage boys back in 2015. The price was very reasonable and the boys not having to share a bed was priceless! We would definitely recommend this hotel
My family was just there end of July, we stayed at that Hyatt House. It was a nice hotel.
We stayed there a few years ago and we really liked it, especially my daughter. The price is also great for how close it is to Disneyland.

Fresh baked, my 4 year old nephew LOVES dinosaurs and I can’t wait till he sees that part of the Disneyland railroad
So what makes the room a suite? The little quarter wall? That asked, we usually stay at the Candy Cane Inn,. Stayed at the HoJo once and the Disneyland once. Of the three, prefer the Candy Cane. We might go to the Grand Californian this fall since we haven't been there since 2019.
My favorite place to stay at when visiting Disneyland is the Candy Cane in. It's on the same side of the street and an easy walk, literally sandwiched next to California Adventure. You can take a short walk over to Disneyland or opt for their shuttle which only runs to Disneyland and back…no associated motels like other places where they drag you around several locations before arriving at your destination. It's been a while fie me, so I hear I this video that they're currently closed until November….renovations? Not sure, but a lot of great memories there.
My go-to place. Every time I enter my room for the first time I'm listening to the main title music from "Sleeping Beauty" on my ipod.
What if they bought that huge empty lot next door and built an expansion, maybe a bigger pool? Not that I don't enjoy the one they have. For a brief time during my last stay I had the entire thing all to myself and I was floating!!! Perfect way to kick things off.

And California Pizza Place on the corner is great! They sold by the slice at a very good price ($3 a slice pre-pandemic.) Not sure if they still do by the slice, but the prices are better than most places in the area and the food is good. One slice will fill you up. It's my go-to lunch location when I did my week long trips to Disneyland.
