Flynn McGarry is the chef of Gem, a restaurant in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. His $155 tasting menu is served in the style of a dinner party, hopefully making you feel like you’re not at a restaurant at all. The young chef has been working full time in professional kitchens since he was 12.

  2. Turn to Christianity and United Brethren Church before its to late saying anything hateful, premarital sex and lust are all sins. AND SO IS USING THE LORDS NAME IN VAIN.77

  3. many chefs from middle class, does the same thing even beter many times. the algorythm never show me video from them . his video came to my profil after he pay the advertise,
rich parents pay everything, even the advertising . he has the flame but after a smooth path with no risks

  4. The secret His life is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF HIS LIFE IS HIS MAMA am so sure if your life is based on the love for your MAMA the world is gonna be better for your ❤️LOVE YOU MOM

  5. I'm going to show this to my Culinary students at a Title 1 high school to prove to them that "limits" are set by you for you. I love seeing young Culinary ambassadors doing what they love, pushing the boundaries, and changing people's lens on what passion is about.

  6. For him being in NYC and at a young age with such great success is such a beautiful thing. Best wishes and goodness to him!!!!

  7. I've watched around 15 videos about this dude and the only thing I know I in his menus or what he cooks is a beetroot !! Which tells me ….career is only driven by the story and not actual food being produced

  8. I admire his mature approach although he is still 19 years old. I also start at young age i was just 12 years old when i start helping my grandma on her catering business. People tend to judge young people in kitchen. I am now The Chef in a big hotel and responsible for my works. No more doubt.

  9. I work as an cryptocurrency trader and I would definitely recommend the job for people who are interested and don't want to go to college.

  10. Why do I have a feeling that you can only be a really successful chef if you have a rich family with plenty of connections? I remember when I was 19, I was just as passionate and work driven as him. But I couldn't afford a free labor work because I needed to survive. I wanted to open my own place, but I didn't have a rich family. Not even sure if I could even open one if I'm living off with $14/hour while it's already hard to pay rent.

A lot of you guys would probably say, "oh stop being such a whiner" or "he works hard so he deserves it!" Tbh, I'm thankful for him. For his talents and passion, it's definitely being put into a good place. His family definitely admire him a lot. Plus, I always respect a chef that is full of passion. But in my reality, it's not as grand. Anyways, I'm still hoping to have a place on my own in the future. I'm saving up money for it. I'll update you guys in about 25 years or more.

  11. How do you get a liquor license in a restaurant owned by a 19yo. Ownership has to be in someone else name.
Just like any random joe can not just open a pharmacy. You need a pharmacy license.

  12. Don't hate his parents, work harder so you to can afford opportunities such as this for your own children

  13. you can never eat this and be filled while also enjoying the food.. these resturants are just selling a style not that is wrong.. but i dislike

  14. I'm glad he discovered his passion and talent in life and had the support system to develop and pursue it as a career. Much success to that young man.

  15. If your parents are rich, that is a blessing not a curse, so better to use that opportunity and build something for yourself with their help there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

  16. Im a chef and i like the fact that he went and put some time in some amazing places but because his parents are rich he never had to struggle and have ups and down in the kitchen and thats part of the whole thing.

  17. Ya I was hoping they would get into where the the he'll he got the money forvsll this but eh privilege is as privilege does
