JAPAN | Fukuoka Series III: The Beauty of Itoshima & Saga

Happy Saturday, folks! Here’s a little snipet of another day trip possible when based in Fukuoka City, Japan. Itoshima was one of my favourite places on the trip. The coastal beaches are beautiful (it reminded me of NSW’s South Coast a lot!), it’s full of trendy cafes and Saga is less than an hour away to admire the rice fields.

More than a vlog, this video is about showcasing the natural beauty of the area. If you have a full day, I suggest checking the Shiraito no taki waterfalls, the famous shrine with the married couple rocks (Futamigaura Bay) and just drive along the coast. The salt factory was also an amazing place, but unfortunately, due to the pandemic, you were not able to visit the factory or do the tour; only purchase some items. You were also sadly not allowed to eat there.

〜Perfect to fish yourself some delicious river fish that will be grilled for you, or enjoy some Nagashi Soumen (noodles that flow through water on a bamboo slide and that you have to catch!)
