Love your food reviews!!! You do such an excellent job of focusing on and talking about the food. Your passion really comes through 🙂
lau lau is my all-time favorite hawaiian food…. squid luau is a close second…. japanese preparation of butterfish uses white miso…. loved your 'replay'! I'm hungry now.
Gotta eat the lau lau w/some shoyu (soy sauce) and chili pepper water for the best experience. Also throw some rice and Lomi salmon on the side and you got a great Hawaiian food plate right there
The salt that you called Himalayan Salt is NOT Himalayan salt. It is Hawaiian rock salt that has a clay called Alaea added to it and that what give it the reddish hue. Alaea Clay comes from the island of Kauai as far as I know.
Next time you visit pour some of that chili water on the fish🤙🏽
Keep shaking your head
you should have done waikiki vlog
Now I know who you remind me of is Andrew Zimmerman…. your actions and the way you talk remind me of him ..love your videos
Pipi Cow Lah. pipikaula. Lol
We grew up with roast pork in San Bernardino, Cali. When My uncle was living.
Who else knows Mike Chen from beyond science?
Gang shit ! ChenLOK
Went to Munich a few years back, fantastic place. If you only ate kfc there you missed out big time. Love the place and the people were great.
Even the Taco Bell here in Hawaii has kalua pig. I suspect it's just carnitas though hahah.
Straight up I think of obesity and happiness
Awesome Review. I'm Kinda Late Watching This, But I love Your Reviews. I Love Helena's! As For the Poi. I put Lomi-Lomi Salmon Everytime I Go there. And For the Squid Luau, If Helena's Have Opihi There, I Added In the Squid Luau. So Ono! WINNAHS!!!!
This guy said in one of his videos how he don't like this kind of pig ahah
Too bad you didnt have ahi limo poke.. eat with poi and lomilomi.
Broke da mout
You making me homesick and hungry at the same time 💀
Loved the video. I love Hawaiian food. Thank you.
Banana leaves not tea.
Indonesia do have the same cook method, very popular in papua island. its called "bakar batu" means "burned stone".
5:03 his theeth…..😂
Rerun
I want to eat with you- what a fun experience! Total fellow Foodie!
Try tuna poke at Umeke's on the big island!
Eat your poi with Korean taegu, awesome, my favorite.
Pretty sure poi is the biggest inside jokes the natives have on mainlanders. It’s bland and does nothing when added to salty food. You can’t convince me otherwise.
That taro is amazing to make sweet bread out of.
That's my wife's cousins family, the Chock's
Poi actually starts to get sweet right before it turns. It's my favorite point to eat it. So tasty.
Hey man it’s not traditional because you forgot the lomi salmon
Mikey glad you made it to Hawaii. Also glad you enjoyed eating the Hawaiian Food. Here in Hawaii we call glass noodles long rice. See you on your next adventure trip….so interesting and so much knowledge you bring into our life..thank you.
I can't tell he is the biggest Low Key player on YouTube with all the side chick's in the videos.
Dont worry Mike, I knew a friend who went to Japan for school and all he ate was McDonalds.
Apparently it's gourmet and he didn't regret it.
Hurricanes in Yucatan MX recently influenced native cuisine to consume more tasteless root into meals. We share pibil with Hawaii’s kahlua food. Good stuff!
Just ate here and it’s pretty trash
I really wish I could visit Hawaii. But since we can’t I’ll rely on Mikey and Mark’s travel videos
