This week we are glamping in Itoshima, Japan! This new glamp site is RIGHT on the beach and absolutely beautiful. Itoshima is a quick 2 hours drive from Sasebo. The tolls only cost us 220 yen each way and the drive was incredibly easy. If you’re looking for things to do near Sasebo this has got to be at the top of your list. Itoshima is a beautiful seaside town that calls itself “Ito-fornia” because it gives off all the California vibes and we are here for it!

If you are interested in booking a glamping dome tent you can do so right on the La Spark glamping site. Be sure to use google chrome and the site will automatically translate everything into English. You will pay upon checkout and if you are just doing the glamping site then it will come out to $501. Of course we split that 3 ways and it was TOTALLY worth it. Such a perfect girls weekend spot.

Beach right next to the resort: https://goo.gl/maps/wVhoXkhWKdwcW9Rq8
You can go to this beach and don’t need to be staying at the resort. It was a great beach with no jellyfish, white sand, and not super crowded. The waves were a little strong but it was a very windy weekend so I’m not sure it’ll always be that way. I would 100% go back to this beach!

Free Parking if you aren’t staying overnight at the resort but want to use the beach: https://goo.gl/maps/5pGSPks2jLsQ6iaC7

There are SO many cafes and places to eat that I couldn’t possibly list them all, but we ate at the following places and I would recommend them—they were all amazing!

Palm Beach: https://g.page/palmbeachitoshima?share
Sunset Café: https://goo.gl/maps/YinARosP7GP95LLR6
Thalia Coffee Roasters: https://goo.gl/maps/exoxGN9QMN168Jw86
Uovo Itoshima Farm House: https://goo.gl/maps/vBq7pfuDNU6cd8uw8

We also checked out these two local artist shops:

Dover: https://g.page/DoverItoshima?share
Anthology Dried Flowers: https://goo.gl/maps/v9wbgzqNPKkTcNwx5

Of course you’ll want to check out the famous White Torii in the ocean! This iconic spot of Itoshima is called Sakurai Futamigaura’s Couple Stones Shrine: https://goo.gl/maps/yskx25cToszFA5Gr7

From there you can pay 500 yen to park in this lot and take all the cheesy tourist photos you want, I gotta say this was pretty fun!
