Royal Caribbean only accepts one at-home Covid-19 test and it’s super easy!

The test is Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag Card Test and you can buy it at emed.com

  1. They make it sound like they expire super fast… Surely its not that fast. I ordered mine today but my cruise is leaving jan 27th.

I assume the 25th is when I should take this. They leave little room for error. If anything goes wrong no time to fix it.

  2. We are flying to Miami two days before our cruise and we are taking these with us so we aren't searching Miami for a place to get tested.

The key with these is in the bottom left corner on the front of the box it cannot say "OTC". If it does then it is not the right test and can't be used for Royal Caribbean. The tests sold by Optum and eMed are the correct tests. The BinaxNow tests sold by WalMart and in drug stores in most cases are the OTC tests.

  3. I’m sorry if this question has already been asked but are these tests approved for Canadians to use? I thought I read somewhere that they were only available to US residents. If RC only approved “1 at home Covid test”, and this one is not available to Canadians,, does that mean we’re SOL for ANY at-home Covid test? There is one available through Aweoplan, but not sure if RC recognizes it…

  4. I went to order the 6 pack but it only asked for information for 3 people. We have a family of 4. How can I confirm all 4 will be able to use a test?

  5. Can you point out where Royal Caribbean states that only the Abbott test is accepted?

  6. Can anyone answer for when travelling from the UK to FL on a Saturday board on Sunday, do we need these specific tests to board?

  7. I’m a volunteer firefighter and our department uses the abbot tests. If I can get tests from the department can I use them or do I need to purchase them to get the online appointments for pre cruise testing?

  8. Am I the only one wondering how you’re going to provide the proof of your test results without buying these ridiculously overpriced tests that Royal Caribbean is just preying on people for? Very helpful video, but why only speak about other at-home tests for only 2 seconds? Not everyone wants to buy this crazy package..

  9. Do you have to print out the test result or can you save it to your phone and show the result that way?

  10. Anyone know if you are able to re-test if you get positive? As long as it’s within the 48 hour window?

  11. ARE THESE AVAILABLE FOR USE IN EUROPE ? We never see or hear enough information about what's available for us here ? I saw in the USA, a cruise blogger was almost denied because her test results/certificate was hand written by a Doctor . She then had to have it done by RCI at the terminal for 105$ pp. She said it must be printed and digital. So whats it for EUROPEAN guests
Are these "video" tests available for us in Europe from RCI ?

  12. If you have multiple people in your family taking the test can you do all of them in the same session or do you have to do them separately?

  13. I saw they come in a pack of 6 and you have to register each one to a specific person… We have 4 people in our party for the cruise and we can only add 3 individuals names…. When we get all 6 can 4 people use them or does it have to match that person? Lastly, do they come in packs of 2?

  14. The overnight shipment was NOT included in the 150.00 for 6 test. That was an additional 20 dollars and some change. So , I payed over 270.00. As of last week of February 2022.

  15. Have done at home test before we're easy have not used the Abbott did the ones that were free from the government and nervous about having to go online with Abbott for my cruise the whole online thing makes me nervous not the taking of the test at all have done plenty of the at-home test on my son seeing where he is in school and fully vaccinated he is only 9 years old I'm proud to have him vaccinated I am excited about going on Royal Caribbean hope all goes well with the testing thanks for all your videos made me feel a little better anxiety will be gone after I have done the test but yes have set up an account remember to go in and set your accounts up before you ever do it you have to go in and make an account to do these at home tests something that was skipped in the video

  16. You need to explain more about accessing the websites & which ones! Like the qr scanning & the box says you need navica! No info on how/when to do either!

  17. We are going on Symphony of the seas May 7th and need to get the home tests that Royal caribbean expects. Because not close to a testing site. How do we do that?

  18. Do the cruise take you a COVID test before re entering the US? I will be in a weekend Bahamas cruise with Royal Caribbean.

  19. Excellent info and much appreciated…..so easy and simple…..not to find out about post cruise testing to get back into the states

  20. I ordered test kits for my cruise next month. I had to order several and not just one. It cost $181.56 with tax and shipping. I just needed one for myself. I hope this works as you said, or I will have lost a lot of money.

  21. If there are 2 tests in a box, can I use one and my husband use the other one or does he need his own box?

  22. I purchased the wrong one, the carnival one, are you saying Royal will not accept the telemedine test result of the brand used by Carnival?

  23. Any idea if these can be shipped to Australia so I can use a guided test myself? I've performed many at home covid19 tests on myself recently but would feel far more comfortable being guided through the process to ensure I've put it up my nose far enough ( to be blunt) to have full confidence it's a valad result.
Any Aussies out there who know of other options that are guided sessions I'd be greatfull for the info in a comment reply thanks.

Aussie crises start back soon I'll give them 3-4 months to iorn out all the bugs and maybe aim for just after Jan next year.
I can't wait to get out on the open ocean again!!

  24. Hi Matt so if I need to do my test on a Friday, can I do it as early as 12am ? Like is there a timeframe i need to follow?

  25. What if the test proves that you're positive two days before your cruise. Does the cruise line allow you to rebook or do you lose all your money?

  26. Thank You so much for this video, sooo needed.. I ordered 2 sets, Do we have to set up an E Med account to make an appointment, how do you get started…Our cruise is May 30

  27. How do you connect virtually via your camera on your iPhone do they send you a link or do you have to download an app or zoom?

  28. Once we get our results, can we show them the negative result on the app or via the email at the terminal? Or does it have to be printed? 🙂

  29. How often do these tests fail? Wondering if I need to order extra in that case? Especially since these can't be refunded

  30. Does the basic rapid antigen test offered by Walgreens or CVS meet requirements or are there different versions of the rapid tests? Also, does the documentation those two places provide have all the required information? I ask because I hear conflicting information from other cruisers and RC hasn’t responded to my email. I just want to make sure I have no issues once I get to port on sail day

  31. Hello, i have a question, I am currently traveling to a cruise at end of this month, but om not from the usa, can it be shipped to a hotel? Or can i buy at the pharmacy?

  32. This getting old. After over two years of this bullshit your still pushing it.
    Stop testing period.

  33. FYI Walgreens and CVS are charging $128-$138 per person for PCR tests now. No guarantee your insurance will pay for the test if you have insurance.

  34. So you only need the eMed app on your phone? Or is there another app as well that we will need for results?
