The North East Backcountry Discovery Route is a route developed by the BDR organization for dual-sport and adventure motorcycle travel. It is an epic 1,300-mile backcountry tour of the Northeast Region up to the Canadian border. The tracks wind through seven states and nearly a dozen state forests on dirt and gravel roads, challenging seasonal and Class 4 roads, and twisty tarmac. Scenic views, endless forest roads under a canopy of trees, and the highest elevations in the Northeast are just some of the features of this amazing BDR. Every state delivers a unique adventure riding experience unto itself. Join me and my best buddy Ronny as we venture into this enchanted region and challenge our skills to the limit.

  1. Hello from Wellington FL , we are neighbors. Great videos …. Ride on 👍👍👍👍

  2. Glad you came back recently. Now I can get up on Saturday morning and watch with my cup of coffee like I used to. Keep them coming!

  3. Loved the commercial!! I always try to like and even have tried to rewatch old videos since the rebranding as well as rebought some swag when the name changed. I need to share more often. Gentlemen your work and sharing is greatly appreciated.

  4. Light is definitely right on many of those trails. I have definitely re-thought what bike(s) make sense for my skills and routes I like to ride. Just sold a 2012 R1200GS that was a wonderful machine but a handful on the more challenging terrain. Looking at mid-size options.

  5. People leaving garbage and trash is really aggravating. My wife and I just spent the past year traveling in a converted school bus out west and spent a lot of time on BLM land. I can think of at least 4 times where people left whole tents setup and garbage! Wtf people!

People are ruining it for those who want to respect and use these resources. The BLM (what was BLM) just north of Moab is now a state park. Too many people were ruining the place, creating rogue trails and camping spots. The few ruined it for the rest. And don't get me started on people that just let their dogs roam free into other's campsites even though they should be leashed and controlled 🙄

  6. I'm learning English with your adventures.

Un saludo desde España, aunque espero emigrar a USA (NC) en 2 o 3 años.

  7. Carlos! It is so good to see new content on your channel! Yours has been one of my favorites since finding it. Stay safe and keep the shiny side up my friend!

  8. You wasted all that time looking for a chiropractor, you had everything you needed: a big rubber mallet, a friend and a butter. I had a really bad back pain after ridding, I went to the doctor he hit me in the knees with a mallet and it hurt so much I forgot about my back pain. I just wish he had use butter, it would’ve been so much better. NOW I RIDE ON THREE, BAD BACK,BAD KNEES 😂. Excellent video como siempre aqui esperando el proximo.

  9. Hi Carlos and Ron. I've been to that covered bridge many times on my motorcycle. In fact we are headed to the Catskills again tomorrow

  10. Charli. Another great video!!! This country offers so many spectacular places, almost outside civilization. Seeing your videos, makes me dream, to travel together again. Roni: You're wasting your time. you should be an actor. I am very sad, that you were feeling bad of your back and these days you felt bad again. Today, when we meet, I will give you a medicine that make me very well every time I suffer as you from my back. See you shortly brothers!!

  11. Hahahahahaha always in a good mood ride on Carlos and ride your ride who cares if you got to go slow it all about the adventure.

  12. Great video Carlos and Ron. I battled back pain from 1979 up until 1996 when the disc finally went all the way out and had to have surgery. I still have issues to this day. But, not like it was.
It's not that ppl are uneducated, it's more like they are UNRESPECTFUL of others and nature.
Keep up the great content and I hope Ron is doing better now. 👍

  13. Always enjoy your videos Carlos. A buddy and I are doing the MABDR in November then the NEBDR in early summer next year. Glad you’re back on the trail. Hope Ronnie’s back got fixed when you got home. They grow the sweetest sweet corn in New England. Keep them coming. Ride on Amigo.

  14. Hi Carlos, nice to get new videos from you guys. You are close from our nice Quebec province, any plan to come riding our trails ?

  15. Hey, not a best practice but you have a tank full of fire starter. Use a section of first aid gauze dipped in fuel then laid into the bottom center of a wee kindling tower, light it and you might get a fire going. Treat the fuel with respect. (Obviously, complimenting what your education comments infer, never put open flame near an open fuel source like a gas tank.) Hand sanitizer sometimes works as well, as do dorito chips if you need to raid a campsites shop. Great videos, I hit subscribe as commanded.

  16. What a fun video! Thanks for this, and don’t worry about the subscriber numbers—they’ll catch up with you.

  17. The NEBDR looks like a great route! I've wondered why, with the increasing number of mid-weight ADV bikes, why you continue riding a big rig? Yes, the highway sections are a dream but the off-road sections are nearly a dread. No comprendo.
