I already tried to get to Hachiko tomb, but got too late and the place was too dark.
This time I started at Shibuya station at 2pm and had plenty of time. I walked a bit around Shibuya then walked to the east towards Aoyama cemetery.
Found one fat cemetery cat 😹

  1. An exceptional walk; thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I have said before and I will say again; you do great work. The majority of people exude style and a confidence in their individuality, this appears effortless; obviously the point but must take time. The juxtapositions; ultra modern chic to timeworn and aged is just terrific. Thank You very much.

  2. Just sharing the true story of Hachiko A white Akita dog, Hachiko was the faithful pet of Dr. Eisaburo Ueno, a professor at Tokyo University. The professor's home was in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, and he commuted to the agricultural department in Komaba and the agricultural experimental station in Nishihara. On May 21, 1925, Dr. Ueno did not return because he had suffered a stroke and died at the university. Hachiko was eighteen months old. The next day and for the next nine years, Hachiko returned to the station and waited for his beloved master before walking home, alone.

  3. seeing the huge crowds like this makes me so nervous oh wow. of course whenever i go to japan, i'll walk through it, but it really makes you think the amount of people who are localised in this one area of tokyo

  4. So many people. And have seen two IKEAs! Wish we had closer ones here. Keep up the good work. So relaxing to watch.

  5. Quite an interesting walk to Hachiko’s tomb – it’s nice to know he has a peaceful resting place. It’s amazing how large that cemetery is…wow! So happy we got to see a cat 🐈 this time too.

  6. 孤独で詩的な芸術性に繁栄します。
    Prosperous to lonely, poetic artistry.
    Благоприятен для одинокого поэтического артистизма.🌹

  7. in my country, the cemetery is quite frightening but in Japan, its kinda like its okay for people to inhabit it… ah dude I'm jealous

  9. This walk was my childhood commute path on bicycle. Thanks for the memories 🙂

  10. I used to live close to his grave but your walk came in at an angle I had never walked lol. My Japanese girlfriend always said it was too far too walk from Shibuya, but if I had known it was only one hour, I would have always walked it. Live and learn! Great video! Arigatou!

  11. Based on the name brands of the stores, this must be a pretty swanky part of Tokyo, but I still can't believe how nice the cars are. So many Lexus and Mercedes and BMWs and even some really really nice supercars. There must be a lot of wealthy people in Tokyo.

  12. from the bustle of the city to the humble resting place of hachiko. beautiful journey.
