Hashiguiiwa is formed by rhyolite intruding between mudstone layers due to igneous activity 15 million years ago. After the intrusion, differential erosion caused the soft mudstone to erode quickly, leaving hard quartz porphyry in piles.
It is called Hashigui-iwa because the rocks standing in a straight line for about 850m look like bridge piles.
The video this time is at low tide, but at high tide, many rocks rise up in the sea and it is fantastic.
Next time I would like to visit at high tide.
