We’ve seen a lot of restaurants in Istanbul advertising Pide and Lahmacun as Turkish Pizza, but we couldn’t figure out which one was more like a typical pizza. In this Turkish food tour in Istanbul, we have the ultimate Turkish pizza showdown and pit pide against lahmacun to see which one is the true Turkish Pizza.

  1. All 3 look tasty. I love how thin and crispy it looks and sounds 🤤. The second place reminds me of the “tomato pie” that was sold in Mac hall at u of c 🤣

  2. Bro you have to put vegies on lahmacun then squeeze a lemon then wrap lahmacun then eat that how Turks eat lahmacun :).
And both pide you tried were pertaining to the black sea region of Turkey. You also can try regular and "Konya Bıçak sırtı" pide. If you are considering visiting Antalya, you should definitely try Meatballs( köfte ) and Antalya style piyaz. we called Köfte-Piyaz. You can eat Antalya style piyaz just in Antalya it is unique

  3. .even pizza itself is originally Turkish italian food has easrn origin just like pasta which brought to Italy by Marcapolo from China and middle Asia as well as ice cream which also from andoul in Turkey .
During Ottomans time from 16th century tell 19th italian were the connection between east Mediterranean and middle east with europe specially the merchants and sailors of Napoli and Vince.
So they brought many products foods and culture to Europe

  4. Think I’d be partial towards the pide since I love cheese and doughy crusts 😆 both looked good though!
