  1. Hey Ken & Meghan me and my girlfriend have been to this restaurant & we really enjoyed the food . Thanks for sharing !

  2. I'm glad Meaghan is with you tonight Ken so that you don't spend extra time at Dundas Square but just pass by. I'm digging the tick-tock sound of Meaghan's heels on the sidewalk. It's unique in your videos.

  3. Obviously Ken, you're a husky dude from your weightlifting and protein powder etc. If you were wandering around shirtless, it would look like you're showing off and I know that's not your scene.

  5. Ken & Meghan, another great walk and your humour is cheering me up i.e Meghan's operating temporate enviroment of 100c but l am getting stabbing pain in my back if l laugh/ cough or attempt to move, Dr calling me back later this morning and will probably need a more thorough examination of my middle/upper back…probably will be extensive muscle tear and ligament damage but will be fine and hope to be on better form soon. Best Wishes both of you C.J.H.

  6. I don't know if you were aware but the PAI restaurant you went to got it's start on Parliament street about 20 years ago. It was called Sukhoi Thai at 276 Parliament (you can still see the sign up). I visited about 20 years ago because I love Pad Thai and at the time it was getting rave reviews. I will say I was not very impressed. The Pad Thai sauce was very bland with few ingredients (I like my Pad Thai with sweet sauce) so never went back. The Chef and her husband went on to open PAI restaurant but I have never been there. Hopefully you had a good experience.

You might be surprised to know that one of the best Thai restaurants that I went to at that time was just 5 minutes from your place on Jarvis south of Gerrard where the condo is now going up. It was in basement level of the building that was there before and it served delicious Pad Thai with sweet sauce, big spring rolls, miso soup and mango salad. This was also about 20 years ago so long before your time in the area.

Actually you can make good Pad Thai easily at home. All you need is a good sauce (Presidents Choice had a delicious Pad Thai sauce) and just add an egg into a Wok and add the egg noodles, your favorite protein (I actually prefer Tofu in Pad Thai although no longer vegetarian) and lots of crushed peanuts.

I don't know if you were aware but the boarded up mansion beside Hooker Harvey's caught fire last week. I could see lots of smoke from my apartment and some flame but it doesn't look like it was fully involved (it was a two alarm fire). I suspect there will be other attempts to torch this building. Same thing happened up the street beside the former primrose hotel. It took a second try to burn that mansion down where a condo is now rising.

You mentioned the corner of Gould and Yonge. I remember when that building was torched (that's probably 20 years ago now). Again I could see it from my apartment. It really lit up the sky! IIRC that was a 6 alarm fire! Of course they never found the arsonist.

  7. I don't know if you were aware but at about 40 minutes into the video the modest building on the right – 218 Adelaide – is were Rumble (biggest competitor to YouTube) got it's start and still seems to have offices although the HQ has been moved to Longboat Florida.

It's too bad you battery died. It would have been interesting to see inside the restaurant and see what the food and service was like.

  8. Thank you for another fantastic walk! I always enjoy your commentary as you go along the streets and also Meganโ€˜s contribution to the discussion! Hope you enjoyed your meal!

  9. Great evening walk, TheKenContinuum with Girlfriend!!! Thanks for capturing life in a part of Toronto, dogs/birds included, & cats we cannot see!!!!! Always Enjoy your walking videos!!!! Cheers!!!! Have a great meal!!!!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  10. Hey Ken and Meghan, That was a great walk on a hot muggy evening and your conversations were enlightening. The clicky clack of Meghan heels was soothing while watching the video. How was the Pad Thai? Thanks for inviting us along.

  11. 1. VERY good idea for a walk BEFORE dinner..
Work up an appetite.. NOT to mention endorphins ALSO.. which contribute to a salutorily nice experience..
PLUS, will be in a state of "just want to sit at the table and rest..", and of course chow-down on the food..
    .
    2. The camera-work is like that in that Matt-Damon-starring some book of the Jason_Bourne series..
    VERY good books..
the camera, however, kept jumping as the camera_man ran. could NOT watch THAT scene..
    .
    3. If ya don't like the weather, go somewhere ELSE..
and if the weather is too HOT, why're you walking in the sunlight?
    .
    But, nice intro etc..
    .
