So nostalgic! I lived in Barcelona for a year about 5 years ago and I miss it so much! It's not the easiest place to find good paying work if you're used to the US or the UK, but it's such a beautiful and pretty inexpensive city to live in. Next time I recommend you try staying somewhere like Gracia- gorgeous neighborhood just a little bit further away from the very centre, much quieter. I'm from London and I'm used to massive urban sprawl so I thought I needed to live really central, but actually Barcelona's pretty small. You can walk from the edge of the city by the mountains to the coast in 2 or 3 hours tops, and public transport is really cheap and reliable. Your hotel looked gorgeous but you basically stayed on Times Square. Looking forward to seeing what's next!

So glad you did a hotel in Barcelona. Sounds like you will return. I recommend being very diligent when selecting an airBnb there. There’s so many inside job burglaries esp against Americans. Of course not everyone will have that experience and I certainly hope you don’t. Can’t wait to see your adventures continue! Thanks for bringing us along.

You have to try Canta y No Llores!! I think it’s in the gothic quarter, but it has DELICIOUS tacos. Super fun vibe. Brunch and Cake is also like the Urth Cafe of Barcelona and the food is actually DELICIOUS.
