Have you ever been to Hirado, Japan? Hirado is only about an hour northwest of Sasebo, Japan and it is one of my absolute FAVORITE spots in Nagasaki Prefecture. With beautiful beaches, amazing 360 degree views, and culturally significant sights Hirado has everything for the perfect daytrip or weekend staycation. Keep in mind Hirado isn’t built-up for tourism like Itoshima is so you won’t find as many cafes, coffee shops, or artisan shops. But if you’re looking for a quiet spot to visit to reconnect with nature and stand in awe of how beautiful Japan is, this is going to be your paradise!
