Our Turkish food tour continues as we try out two very different köfte, Trabzon Akçaabat Köfte and Çiğ Köfte. These two ‘meatballs’ fall on opposite ends of the spectrum, one straight up meat, the other completely vegetarian, yet neither are any less delicious than the other.
Our first stop for this street food tour in Turkey is in town to try Çiğ Köfte from one of the more well-known places that specialize in this dish throughout Turkey. Afterwards, we continue our Turkish food tour and head to a local shop to try the special Trabzon Akçaabat Köfte. The quality of Turkish food in this restaurant is like no other, and the hospitality was unbelievable.
We hope you enjoy our Turkish street food tour of Trabzon in Turkey, as we compare Trabzon Akçaabat Köfte and Çiğ Köfte. Köfte is a very popular street food in Turkey and the variety of them changes depending on the region, so in this Turkish food tour we just had to try out the extra special Black Sea version!

What would u prefer? Hamburgers or köfte? I like hamburger but köfte is another level.
Hey guyz. Include in the video also the people from where u r visiting, restaurant shops, streets. Dont be shy. Get in contact. Our people love foreigners to talk and to know. They would also help u with the dishes and explain and tell u where u can get the best food etc. Plus, u could get more YT viewers. Turkish people love youtubers 🙂 Go tell them that u have a Vlog on Youtube and that ur now making videos about turkish food 😉
Turkiye is meat and kofte heaven.
If you want to taste a different flavor, I recommend the famous "Arabaşı" especially in Yozgat region. The way of eating is a little different. You can dip the special dough into the soup and swallow it without chewing it in one go. The bigger slices you swallow, the more respect you get. Youtubers usually do not know this dish.
I love your videos in turkey👍
Loved it! I definitely think I'd prefer the meaty one😋!
Did you visit the old town of Akçaabat? It has the best preserved timber mansions in the Trabzon region, and the church has recently been restored.

I’m laughing with Steph at that hand print. I don’t know about this…. Would you eat it again?
