Yes, folks, the first wildlife you encountered were bighorn sheep ewes. We have this species in relative abundance here in Wyoming. Good luck on your journey.
Hi guys! A new subscriber here. I came across your videos while working late at night and got instantly hooked! It's good to see all your awesome vids and travel escapades all the way from Manila, Philippines π΅π Bless you both and Cheers to more travel π»ππ
how did u guys cross? isnt it closed to non essential travel?
Just curious , what exactly did you need to have to cross into Canada?
700+ miles in one day. YOU ARE IRON MAN!!
What if you are a US Citizen, but own a house in Canada?
You guys r the best!
Very cool
Did you guys have a application or special permit to go to Alaska?
Which port did you go through? Porthill is the absolute worst!!
What paper work?
The big sheep on the side of the road in BC were Stone Sheep. Beautiful, arenβt they?
Well, thatβs communism for ya! We Canadians canβt return to our country without going through an unbelievable ordeal. Trudeau is pure EVIL!
Did you guys use ArriveCAN?
We waited in Maine for a month to cross into Canada into new brunswick on our way to Nova Scotia. We are going to be in Canada until the fall. We were waiting for the quarantine requirement to end on july 5th. We live in Florida but I have dual citizenship so canada had to let us in, haha. Love your filming editing style, Larry.
Question: Why would you go to the trouble of going on a trip through Canada if there was any doubt whatsoever that you would be turned back from the border, once you got there? I would have called in advance to Canada Customs to find out if I was going to be allowed entry. If yes, then I would pack my bags that day!
I sure hope when I get there there not making me get through that fast my wife is not going to help drive. She has a problems with he knees right now. She is on medication for a clot in one leg so she's letting me do it alone.
When you cross the border, do you need any paper work from the car ? like Registration or insurance? I am planning to drive my car to Canada for 3 weeks visit.
I wish many Americans would realize that Canada is a sovereign country and does not need to permit any US citizens transit to Alaska. Canada does allow transit, not out of any contractual agreement or American government demand – but Canada allows transit because it is a good neighbour, and holds a belief that the continental USA-Canada should be accessible by all, and that it is just under two distinct stewards. But there is a global pandemic underway, and the USA has not done very well with it. To protect Canadians, restrictions are in place. Not because Canada has any anti-USA beliefs (it's the opposite), but because it has a sovereign responsibility to take care of Canadians and protect their health interests. Rules are in place for transit, such as no stopping to sightsee / no touring / no deviation from course / set time allowed for transit. Canada didn't have to do this, but did as a compromise. Unfortunately, many Americans exploited this, resulting in some being kicked out, escorted by RCMP back to the southern border, and (very large) fines – one transiter from Kentucky who stopped for a gondola ride was fined $750,000. Please keep in mind that Canada basically loves its US neighbours and visitors travelling to Alaska, but the Pandemic is just a very tough time for this which adds a layer of complexity. Things will change, but recall that prior to 9/11 the border crossing required a driver's license or birth certificate, not even a passport. We just all need patience until COVIDS is fully defeated.
So happy for you guys. What documents did they ask for? Passport, COVID vaccine record, anything else?
Thanks for the info. Planning to do this journey from Alaska to Alabama for employment reasons, gives me an idea of what to expect.
Did you leave the car in the Yukon or did you take the car to Alaska?
I just found you on YouTube and I am enjoying your videos. We were suppose to go to Alaska this summer but knew we couldnβt get across so weβre traveling from West Coast to East Coast of the lower 48. Iβm trying to figure out how you were able to get across and have watched several videos. You said something about a tourism job? Please explain.
Welcome to Alaska π€
I'd love to cross and settle in Canada if the USA keeps losing its mind on politics and relations with other countries
Good for you folks π ππ½πΊπΈ
Nice footage guys
2012 I flew in to Anchorage and stayed in Soldotna working doing carpentry and electrical for 6 weeks.Did some hiking and fly out in a float plane to fly fish one day. All my shopping was at Fred Meyers in Kenai.

The Vermonter
Yes you are in Canada but can you get into the United States again? I thought our border was closed
I was shocked that there were so many mosquitoes, especially since it seemed to be so cold there. Is this normal in that region?
I was at the Canadian border on July 15 2021 and I had all my papers in order, as a tourist to Alaska I was not allowed to cross Canada unless I was with a work contract or I was a resident of Alaska but not as a tourist. you are tourists, right?
Wow so cool..
Great video! We have added Alaska RV trip through Beautiful Canada on our bucket list. What kind of questions did Canadian Customs ask?
PS Congrats on your 25K+ mark!
Please, your advice where is better to get covid test before crossing border?
The best time to drive through B.C. to Alaska from there is in May-June, when the wild roses are blooming, roll the windows down and they are so fragrant, it is incredible! Lots of wildlife too.
Show me za papers pleaze
Welcome to the Yukon Territory. I thought I heard you say the province of Yukonβ¦not a province)β¦just for info π
You two are great at sharing your stories! I felt the stress with you.
so cool its my dream to go to alaska…mustve been very cold there
I'm driving from US to Canada towards the end of June so wondering if anyone here might know:
Is it legal to cross the US-Canada border in someone else's car, like a parent's car for example? Would I need to show some kind of proof that I have permission to drive the vehicle? If someone who knows could answer I'd appreciate it!
Howβd you guys do it? Meaning be able to cross the Canadian borderβ¦..
Thankyou for visiting Canada glad you had fun. As a home sick Canadian living abroad thanks. Come back.
