My wife and I stayed at Hotel Emma during a visit to San Antonio. Fabulous place: a totally unique hotel experience. Emma was reborn a few years ago from the skeleton of the Pearl Brewery. There’s always something interesting to see and something to learn from its history. The area around has been redeveloped and is now known as the “Pearl District.” It sits on the shore of the San Antonio River Walk’s (relatively) new “Museum Reach” area. You can catch a river taxi to go downtown to the “traditional” the River Walk where all the restaurants and other tourist attractions (like the Alamo)are located.
