Quite possibly some of the most amazing Turkish food is the famous Trabzon kuymak and hamsi tava. Two very different dishes, but ones that HAVE to make any Turkish food tour in Trabzon! Imagine hot, melty, buttery cheese that stretches as far as your arm can reach, and you’ve got Trabzon kuymak, an insanely indulgent dish that is up there with the most amazing Turkish food we’ve had.
Our Turkish food tour in Trabzon took us to try some more seafood today. Any visit to the Black Sea region isn’t complete without trying the amazing and famous hamsi tava, fresh anchovy straight out of the sea that day, fried up in cornmeal, crispy and rich in its own oil.

I can eat "Hamsi" all day long 😋 The Kuymak is similar to Fondue that you can eat by dipping the bread in. Thanks for sharing!
its not kuymak, its mıhlama. difference between kuymak and mıhlama is mıhlama contains more cheese like you ate. 🙂 good luck.
The kuymak reminds me of pommes aligot, just with cornmeal instead of potatoes. Looks amazing. I absolutely love your Turkish travel vids — it's leapfrogged to the top of my must-visit country list!
