新潟県 高田城址公園・村松公園の桜 (ヒーリング音楽) / Cherry Blossoms at Takada & Muramatsu Park ( Niigata, Japan )【日本の桜名所】

高田城址公園は、新潟県上越市に位置する城郭跡で、「日本さくら名所100選」に選ばれています。三階櫓は高田城のシンボル的存在で、1993年 (平成5年) に再建されました。また、西堀にかかる西堀橋からの眺めは秀逸で妙高山（日本百名山）と桜並木の景観に誰もが足を止めます。西堀は蓮に覆われており、その開花時期には「蓮まつり」も開催されます。
高田公園は「日本三大夜桜」にも数えられ、三階櫓周辺のライトアップも有名です。

村松公園は、新潟県中部に位置する都市公園で、「日本さくら名所100選」に選定されています。池の周辺に日本庭園的な園地が整備されていて、人工の湿地にミズバショウも栽培されており、桜とほぼ同じ時期に見ごろを迎えます。桜並木とミズバショウ群落は見所の一つです。

村松公園は、明治39年に開園しており、広大な敷地に約3,000本の桜が植えられています。陸上競技場や野球場、市民プールなども併設され、スポーツも含めた総合公園として整備されています。また、公園内の愛宕山には、遊歩道と展望台が設けられ、赤松が美しく軽登山も楽しめます。園内の桜の９割近くはソメイヨシノですが、他にもピンクの濃いヨウコウなども見られます。

愛宕山の展望台付近からは五泉市の市街が望め、また山麓の桜と山腹の赤松の対比も美しいです。頂上付近には神社もあり、神聖な雰囲気です。
愛宕山山麓には比較的新しい桜並木があり、人通りも比較的少なく、静かな散策を楽しめます。ツツジ、牡丹、アジサイなどの四季折々の花も咲き、秋の紅葉も含め「花の公園」として有名です。

Takada Castle Ruins Park is located in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, and has been selected as one of the “100 Best Cherry Blossom Sites in Japan. The three-story turret is the symbol of Takada Castle and was rebuilt in 1993. The view from Nishibori Bridge over the west moat is superb, with Mt. Myoko (one of Japan’s 100 Great Mountains) and the rows of cherry trees making everyone stop in their tracks. The west moat is covered with lotus trees, and a lotus festival is held when they are in bloom.
Takada Park is one of the “Three Greatest Nighttime Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan” and is also famous for the illumination of the area around the three-story turret.

Muramatsu Park is a city park located in central Niigata Prefecture and has been selected as one of the “100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan”. A Japanese garden-like parkland is maintained around a pond, and Mizubasho (Asian skunk-cabbage) is also grown in an artificial wetland, which is at its best at about the same time as the cherry blossoms. The rows of cherry trees and Mizubasho colonies are one of the highlights of the park.

Muramatsu Park was opened in 1906, and approximately 3,000 cherry trees are planted on its vast grounds. With an athletic field, baseball field, and civic swimming pool, the park has been developed as a comprehensive park that also includes sports. Also within the park is Mt. Atago, where a walking trail and observation deck have been established, with beautiful red pines, and a light hiking trail is also available. Nearly 90% of the cherry trees in the park are Someiyoshino, but other cherry trees such as Yohkoh with deep pink blossoms can also be seen.

The view of the city of Gosen can be seen from the observatory on Mt. Atago, and the contrast between the cherry blossoms at the foot of the mountain and the red pines on the hillside is beautiful. There is also a shrine near the top of the mountain, creating a sacred atmosphere.
At the foot of Mt. Atago, there is a relatively new row of cherry blossom trees, and with relatively few pedestrians, you can enjoy a quiet stroll. The area is also famous as a “flower park,” with azaleas, peonies, hydrangeas, and other seasonal flowers in bloom, as well as autumnal colors in the fall.
