Narita Airport Guide and Haneda Airport Guide. The must-know tips before leaving Japan. These Japan travel hacks are things Japan tourists and travelers need to know before going back to their home country from either Narita Airport or Haneda Airport, based on my experience. We will discuss luggage delivery service to the airport, returning your IC card such as a suica refund or pasmo refund, where to get souvenirs in a pinch, what do do with all your foreign currency, how to spend your final day in Tokyo and most importantly where to eat at the airport. I hope this Japan travel guide helps in your travel in Tokyo and makes your departure from Narita and Haneda much easier.

  1. Just got back from Tokyo and found your videos really useful for planning that trip, thanks! I ate at that Tsukemen restaurant and loved it as well. In terms of luggage, I used Sagawa to store and ship luggage from Tokyo station to Narita since we wanted a lighter load when we went to Kyoto for a couple of days. Very easy service to use even with the language barrier.

Also note, most travelers from the USA fully expect the airport food and drinks to be marked up 2x to 3x above normal price. Not so in Narita! The 7-11 in the secure area had normal prices for everything, including the awesome egg sandwich!

Also note that there's a new Suica card called "Welcome Suica" which doesn't have the 500 yen deposit but you can't return it and it expires after ~28 days. They sell it at the airports so it can get confusing which Suica you end up getting. Just don't load too much money on it and at the end of the trip, buy a bunch of egg sandwiches at the airport 7-11 with the remaining balance!

  2. Чуваааак! Спасибо большое за видео! Ехала первый раз, одна, и твои видео очень помогли.

  3. Wait. So our return flight to the Philippines is at 8:00am, but the hotel's check out isn't until 10:00am. Does that mean the hotel might not allow us to check out earlier?

  4. i had so much funds at the end of my trip in feb 2020, i just spent it at the akihabara shop in narita, so good, picked up a nice g-shock watch. so much cheaper than buying in Australia.

  5. if you have knowledge, it would be great if you could make a video about moving back to your home country after living in Japan for a number of years – I'm especially interested in advice about how to ship multiple items back to your home country… cheers

  6. This video dropped 6 months after my first Japan trip, but it's useful to know these things for a second trip post-COVID.

  7. The design of the bowl in which your ramen is served looks like it has McDonald’s “M’s”! 😂

  8. When I last visited Japan in the mid 90s there was a "departure tax" you had to buy a ticket for at the airport and show before you got on your plane. I believe it was 2,000 Yen. Does that still exist? Should that have been mentioned in this video?

  9. hi paolo, was just binge watching so I saw this. what do you meant by ' japanese whiskeys are a hot item in duty free so sometimes they don't have stock so be careful' at around 10:11? do you maybe mean, mindful so as to check options?
