There kind of needs to be a Japanese mythbuster. Showing (safely), that a human cannot hold onto any child when they are in a simulated accident (basically holding onto a correctly sized manikin, height and mass while being in a controlled environment, on custom roller coaster. The adult will be belted in but the ‘child’ is only being held)
I see people regularly wearing helmets incorrectly (pushed back so its only a choking hazard, unbuckled, on the handlebars, etc). Chances are Japanese are not immune to this ignorance.
Yeah motor bike crashes with peoples sneakers flying off and unstrapped helmets flying off are extremely common and the riders are always surprised; as you say, unaware of the physics of what's happening.
Probably some of the best drivers I've see in the world were the German and some of them did stupid stuff. The worst is a tie between Arab and Chinese
I think we have more reckless bicyclists than motorists in this country.
The white car with the driver on his phone and no hands on the steering wheel; that’s a Tesla which I assume might have auto pilot. With that said, I still find that kind of driving unacceptable where I’m from in Canada.
2:02 that’s a Tesla in self drive mode. One of the best features when stuck in start stop traffic. If you’re behind another car, your Tesla will start to move when the car infront starts moving… makes for a less tiresome driving experience.
Safety fifth!
Best Japan channel ever
You do realize that guy on the phone was in a Tesla.. I’m not making an excuse for auto pilot driving.. I see truckers and many people on phone.. bad of course watching TV and not looking at road.. or not using signal to change lanes.. Drivers in Aichi are terrible..
My wife fell foul of the white line and got a ticket, fine, points and a trip to bad drivers course. They stopped her and started to go through the booking process and asked was it her car? "No, its the hospitals as im a visitor nurse" Note, car covered in stickers with hospital name and service. Then a little later, i can only imagine to try and catch her out, asked why she was dressed as a nurse. Unbelievable.
they are just like US ! 🤣 . heck with those News channels that keep saying japanese are so disciplined
2:30 depending on the speed and type of accident, easily over 30 G, actually. City driving speeds, not highway.
There is zero chance you will be still holding your baby or pet in case of even a minor accident.
well, ya know, he might be worried about blast pressures removing his melon- hence no chinstrap XD
You will love to film in Brasil.
Wanted to watch your "Dodgy TV in Japan" video but you had taken it down by the time I clicked on the title of it. Hoping to see the video put back up, soon.
Meanwhile in America: Police salivating over minor infractions and pouncing on chances to fill actual quota
Lol. I almost got hit by a car here in America while the light was green for pedestrians to walk. Woman was on her phone and got distracted.
I wonder if Japan would be willing to share their dash cam vids like a lot of people do.
