Please keep in mind that Japan has a ton of different dialects so there are major regional differences. The phrases/words I teach are what we call “hyoujungo” standard Japanese that most people from Tokyo speak and that everyone across Japan understands.

Kisses from Canada ! (matane) 🙂
Hope your obachan and her oniisan get better!
Looks yummy 🙂
Your grandma is for real the most adorable person I've ever seen.
Congrats on being featured on NHK World!
It looks like ermmm errr aaaah, mochi…. :-/
japanese live a long time.
Nice job with describing the texture and contrast of flavours Chika-san. The white vs black choc comparison worked for me, at least it gave me some idea 😀
Those look so yummy, gahh. And oh man, I was featured on NHK recently too. The episode will air on the 30th, I think.
Good morning, Chika! NHK's Easy News is also a good site. Easy News has shorter and easier articles. I hope this helped 🙂
Oh my god, I just discovered your channel and I am enjoying your videos so much.
1:16 so nice grandma (T.T)….You could have split each one, that way grandma
could taste both of them, …but noOoo you just have to eat the whole thing!!
You should try Snowskin Mooncakes, they're really good.
Really? SHIROAN and ANKO are not same beans. Even the same bean becomes the very different feel just to change the former directions.
I just realised after watching couple of videos, this channel can be turned into a food channel easily xD
I just found this channel thanks to rachel&jun's video when they were at the youtube party and all I can say is that I JUST LOVE THIS OMFG IT'S SOOOOOOO GREAT I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS CHANNEL!!!!
They look like candles! Pretty
wow, they're so beautiful that they look like aromatic candles 😮
oh my gosh you are fucking so cute Chika
Chika, you did an amazing job here. Being Japanese myself, I struggle to really describe our culture sometimes but you seem to do it very naturally. Don't take those critics too seriously. Your dedication to the channel is incredible and it shouldn't be judged by a small fork that comes with wagashi. I will always come back for more videos. By the way, my kids also love them and they are still in elementary school. It's a great way for them to connect with Japanese ways. So I thank you. And I mean it.
I'm glad that I looked at your video. I'll look into NHKWorld videos; this sounds very interesting. I like hearing you speaking Japanese, such a beautiful language to listen to! Thank you again!
sounds like something i would like.
I havent found many Japanese sweets that i like that are sold here. I do NOT like Mochi
Hi Chika, Thank you so much for this amazing video!!!!

I Love Japan!!!!!! Greeting from Malaysia!

Can you get these delivered to the US??
hi chika! quick question. my japanese book says that “grandma” is “obāsan” but you say “obachan” are both versions correct? is there one that’s better than the other? thank you!
Wag ashi. Shop in Gardena or Los Angeles area.. thanks again.. Enjoy Japan….
You're an Obachan yourself now
