Ponta do Sossego is one of the many viewpoints in São Miguel, one of the Azores islands. Located in the eastern side of the island of São Miguel, this stunning viewpoint offers flabbergasting views over the Atlantic Ocean, in the direction of the European continent.
Ponta do Sossego is located in the region of Nordeste, once a remote location for many years, before faster roads were built recently.
This walking tour explores this magical place, walking in the well maintained gardens and picnic areas, and exploring all the viewing points this high altitude spot has to offer.

    Ponta de Sossego < I believe it translates to Point of Peacefulness not sure but I believe so,, regardless you found another of many great areas around Sao Miguel island that is amazingly clean, safe, tranquil & you haven't even gone to the other 8 islands yet :))) , this park is great just to spend the day or a few hours hanging out , maybe have a barbeque or picnic or just to go and be with the coolest cats on the island lol .. great calm & relaxing walk once again,, cheers amigo 🙂
