A walkthrough of “Hagi,” (萩) a spacious (80m²) and beautiful room at Asaba Ryokan (あさば) in the Shuzenji (修善寺) area of the Izu Peninsula, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. While Hagi does not offer the iconic view of the lake and Noh stage that some of the other top category rooms offer, for repeat visitors it is arguably the better choice. Hagi is surrounded by lush vegetation and is in an incredibly tranquil setting.
