  1. Your videos helped make our trip so wonderful and memorable, I miss Japan quite a lot now and look forward to a future return. Thanks Yuka!

  2. Yuka, I'm glad you are back. I plan on moving to Japan in 2 years would you be willing to make a video on things you need to know before moving to japan? Like apartment costs, how hard it is to find a place to live. and how to become a citizen and if it is difficult to find a job?

  3. Happy to see your back Yuka. I'm looking forward to learning more from you for my trip to Japan next year 🙂

  4. I'm glad you're back! Love your vids. Do you think maybe you can tell about the customs, when you're in a temple?

  5. It's so nice to see you.  Why? Because you are very kind and informative.  You show us a window into culture without being rude.  Thank you for these videos.

  6. Hi Yuka,
Thank you so very much for your great information. You're so helpful and very cute too.

We are planning to be in Japan at the end of March. I'm a vegetarian, so I'm worried about how I will explain this in Japanese.
Please would you be willing to help? I need a short note in Japanese, to explain that I don't eat fish, seafood or meat, so that I can show this note if I go out to eat.
It would be a huge help!!!

  7. Thank you for making these videos! Maybe it's not the kind of videos you wanna make but I'd love to hear about your favorite japanese dishes (=

  8. Thank you for making these videos! Maybe it's not the kind of videos you wanna make but I'd love to hear about your favorite japanese dishes (=

  9. Do u plan on doing a video like "10 things to do in Tokyo" ? Btw: Thanks for all the guides, ur awsome :-]

  10. Something happened to me in a restaurant where I ate noodles. Someone left a bowl of kind of cloudy(?) water once we said we were done with our meal. We were really confused as to what it was and we tried guessing if it was for washing hands or maybe cleaning the plate. It turns out it was for you to mix your sauce with to turn it into soup to prevent from having any leftovers. What would you call that?

  11. I personally think that it generous to offer advice about eating and I appreciate information shared by the Chefs or other people guests or restaurant staff. I look forward to my journey and adventure and hope that people interact with teaching me. Thank you .

  12. HAve they only chopsticks on resturants in japan. cant eat with it so maybe it being mc donalds

  13. Thanks for making these videos! Preparing for a trip to Japan, and feel better prepared to encounter and enjoy restaurants in Japan 🙂

  14. Hi yuka! I am going to japan this summer. I was curious if we need to bring our own slippers to wear when we must take off our shoes. Will they provide them?

  15. Hi Yuka! Your system is very close to what we have in Italy, especially the cover charge and sometimes they bring you a small entreè and other places don't. Also here we never tip, unless you go to very fancy and expensive restaurant. Also here the cover charge is written in small character in the menù. To avoid many troubles with tourists there are places where cover charge was not permitted, I think it is so in Tuscany (the region with Florence) but you'll find prices that just "hide" it inside 😉
Thanks for these very useful videos 🙂

  16. Can we share a bowl of ramen or any food in a restaurant? Like what if I can’t finish it by myself, is this allowed?
