Located near the Siam BTS Skytrain station, Siam Square is Bangkok’s shopping and entertainment place popular with the young, the restless, and the beautiful who come to chill. You can feel the new walking street’s energy, beat, and vibe on Siam Square.
Siam Square is an entertainment and shopping district located in Bangkok’s center. Here you can find small boutique-style shops, cafes, restaurants, small markets, an open-air mall, salons, tailors, massage places, etc.
Chulalongkorn University owned Siam Square and is managed by the University Property Management Office. During the covid-19 pandemic, Siam Square started its renovation project aptly called The New Siam 2020.
Now there are more public spaces, trees, wider footpaths, and floor-to-ceilings window displays.
The open-air market sells handicrafts, clothes, shoes, bags, gifts, and various souvenirs and accessories.
The Property Management of Chulalongkorn University aims to make Siam Square the same level as some other regional shopping streets like Ginza in Tokyo. Looking at it now, they did it.
