The procession of courtesans “Oiran-dochu”
Oiran-douchu / Oiran Courtesan Procession ” represents a cermony held in “Yoshiwara-yukaku” in the Edo era, about three hundred and fifty years ago.Tha center of the ceremonyu is “Tayuu”,that is the supreme class of “Oiran”.
This ceremony is regarded as a part of Japanese traditional culture and represented in some “Kabuki” dramas. 14/4/2019 Tokyo Yoshiwara.

  1. I also watched an Oiran-douchu re-enactment in Edo Wonderland some years ago.

    I really want to know the words/lyrics that the men were yelling (and the girls in front were repeating). Would you be able to share those words?
