This summer, we visited Sardinia, Italy, for the first time after many years of going to northern Italy in the summers. The island was just breathtaking!

For this trip, I was able to put my new Canon R5C to the test. Everything was recorded in 8k RAW LT with a mix of 24p/60p. I’m genuinely impressed with the quality and dynamic range coming out of this camera. At the end of last year, I acquired a BMPCC6K Pro, which was going to pair with my stills camera, the Nikon Z6. I quickly realized that carrying two bodies on our travels wasn’t viable. For me, the Canon R5C is the closest I’ve been to having a perfect hybrid camera for my needs, without having to rig it out completely.

  1. Love the vibrancy of this video!
I've had my R5C for a few days and getting used to exposing clog3 and raw LT. Footage so far has been very very noisy and I think its user error. Hoping for it to get better as I figure out best way to expose footage. Any tips?
