It’s our last night in Taiwan after an amazing 2 weeks and we wanted to take a moment to reflect a bit on our trip and some of our favorite things about travelling in Taiwan.

From renting road bikes and cycling around some amazing places, to the incredibly delicious Taiwanese breakfast, the bustling and delicious street food culture, and so much more, we had a spectacular trip in Taiwan and hope to come back again sometime.

My wife is Vietnamese and this was her first time visiting a country outside of Vietnam and our home in Japan, so we’re also getting her opinion about our travel in Taiwan.

  1. I think it is fab you communicate with each other using Japanese language. Are either of you learning each other's mother tongue or are you staying with Japanese?

  2. Finally got to comment on your videos while watching on an iPad instead of TV. That’s some wild wallpaper at that crazy place you stayed at. Interesting observations about Taiwan, though. I also hate especially the exhaust from the many scooters. Glad you seemed to have enjoyed the trip.

  3. I’m interested in scouring through Asia in general so I’m looking forward for more trips but more so on your upcoming races and just life in Japan. Any plans on going to Vietnam with your wife? I’d like to see the food over there and what keeps Thuong’s appetite going 😄😄

  4. Thanks for this video. I think its very interesting that you both communicate in a language which isn't either of your mother tongue's. Is that hard at times, or are you both of you good enough at Japanese to express yourselves well? Plus, do you learn a little bit of each other's home language?

  5. Will you plan to go to Europe sometime? You will find lots of different scenery in a relatively smaller area.

  6. Oof…I hate trucks and diesel fumes…LOTS of them where I live…not much outside of city tho…looked like tough but fun rides!

  7. Glad U2 had a fun time despite the weather, toilet paper and smoking issue. This summary format does work and hope u return soon. We are heading out for summer 2019 for 3 weeks, hoping family will agree to a bike trip in Taitung.

  8. What was the name of the cycling path you went on? that one where you met a fellow fan. I plan on heading there during december.. would appreciate if you could give me directions there

  9. 台湾の公園には運動器具がたくさんあって、すばらしいと思います。クルーズさんの英語はとても発音がきれいで聞き取りやすくてリスニングの練習になります。ありがとう。

  10. It sounds like the trip to Taiwan was a success…👍. Totally agree with her on the beef noodles, they look great to eat. She's was a trooper on the everyday biking routes…😀👍🚴‍♀️. Liked your narration on the vlogs. You did an awesome job. Thanks again for sharing. Thoroughly enjoy watching your vlogs…😀👍🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

  11. taiwan is a good place to live…….. only if your parents have the down payment for property prepared for you….. the high property price is killing the young people and reducing their spending power on things to improve their lives….i don't think its gonna change in the near future and a lot of tw people are actually trying to move out mostly to the states and japan. japan is hot destination for its proximity in culture and location and the property in jp is so affordable and the quality of life is much higher than most of the countries. you guys are lucky to have the opportunity to live in jp for this long period of time and i hope one day you guys will find a way to get back there

  12. Interesting comments about toilets. We have been to taiwan 7 times now, that’s about 9 months in total and I’ve rarely had problems with toilet paper and in most places it goes down the toilet. Especially in Taipei. In more remote areas where the sewage system is mite basic that might be the case. When we were in mainland China lots of places had the bins for toilet paper but only seldom experienced in Taiwan.
