This video is about Okinawa City Value House Rental!

The Military Housing Office (MHO) is ready to support you in the transition to your new home and community. Use the resources provided to become familiar with the housing options and support services available to you.

When you arrive on Okinawa, you must visit the MHO. The Air Force MHO manages Military Family Housing (MFH) for all service members assigned to Okinawa. This visit is necessary to obtain housing, verify your eligibility for Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA), and receive counseling and guidance before entering into any written lease or rental/sales contract for housing. All unaccompanied service members are provided dorm or billeting assignment by their respective branches of service.

The Military Hosuing Office (MHO) provides all DoD personnel with a personalized service to assist in locating suitable housing in your new host country. Moving to a new country can often be confusing and stressful; however, it can also be exciting. Living off base provides members and families the chance to experience a new culture and make friends with their host country neighbors. The MHO will assist you every step of the way to help you find your new home in the local community.

Housing Services
Contact the MHO as soon as you know you are moving. The government housing team will provide you the latest information on the local housing situation as well as local laws governing off-base housing. The MHO partners with landlords, realtors and property managers to make sure you receive the most current information about the local housing market.

The MHO monitors off-base rental listings to ensure that they are safe and adequate.

  1. Damn brother…………….your starting to look like Adam Shiff. Little Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wuz Uppppp!!!! 2. I miss Okinawa! Please do more Okinawa City. We lived across from the Grand Mer Resort, we walked to the athletic park all the time. Thanks for doing these videos.

  3. Do like your vids don't take offense. You are showing house that the Okinawan average family can't afford. Avg. salary 24 to 30k per year. That place is for an outsider (not born and raised in Oki.) I will be moving back in a year or 3 depending on when i decide to retire. Here is a link that a local would be looking at (me and wife), take a look. It is 64 meters large, about 650 sqft.
https://www.e-uchina.net/bukken/jukyo/r-5540-1190218-0001/detail.html this is a single family home.

Also for this video in the bathroom the push button to flush you had backwards. The top button is large (the kanji) and the bottom is little. I can read about 100 kanji symbols. not a genius here.

  4. Thank you for doing something in the average OHA budget. I’ll be there soon and it’s nice to see how far my budget might go.

  5. Hey again! I have another question…We just got here and will be looking for a house when we get out of ROM…Does Joy housing only show you their own listings?

  6. Im a new subscriber. I was stationed at Camp Foster Aug 74-Sep75. At my age 65, I will never make it back to Okinawa, but love seeing Okinawa and your tours of apartments. Semper Fi

  7. I’m enjoying your videos! I was stationed at Kadena Air Base in 1990 during the Gulf War (Desert Shield and Desert Storm). I lived off base my first two years, and then at the Camp Foster towers in 1993. Off base was in a 4-story apartment building next to a grocery store at Miyagi in Chatan Cho a few blocks from the Sunabe Sea Wall.
