Shanghai Metro Line 16 "The Fastest Subway Train in China"



Follow the 59km long drive from Luoshan Road to Dishui Lake via Shanghai Wild Animal Park; Line 16 (十六号线) was opened in December 2013 and has maximum speed of 120km/h; The Metro cars were built by CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive; This Line is largely used by farmers living in the rural areas of Pudong District; an extension to the Shanghai Maglev station Longyang Road is expected to open in late 2014; Line 16 will also connect to Shanghai Disney Resort (Disneyland) in the future

    this was seven years ago, things have changed. Now the Daxing Airport line in Beijing is the fastest 'subway' train
