Enjoy the food around NYC but don't rely on it. You can save an astounding amount of money just by making food and coffee at home.

So 2 grand a month to walk out to a balcony and view a ton of bricks and traffic jams? Come on! I love NYC but those rent prices are fucking insane. Supply and demand, I know. Still fucking insane.
Where's the upside? You pay out the ass to live there and be closer to places where you can spend even more money
Bruh i know all the placed just from the Marvel movies and games.
Better keep that one buddy. Stop being a wuss and have some kids with her. Think of how spectacular the holidays will be. Suburbs are awesome too. Love your video man.

Wow this video is making my move seem way more exciting and some great ideas for work space, much appreciated 👍
Oh I wish I lived in a big city like New York. Except a lot of homeless, crackheads and dangerous people live there.
What’s it’s like to live in NYC if your parents send you money privileged f*ck
You can't really talk about the work environment in NYC right now, as things are still in flux. Sure many are still pushing back on returning to the office but…it's hard to say yet, where this will all land. There are indeed a good number of us (esp those who live in small apartments) who do Not like spending so much time in our apartments. There's something to be said for showering, getting dressed, riding the subway with your fellow NYers, grabbing a coffee at your favorite coffeeshop….the buzz of the office and being able to FOCUS on your work…and then, at the end of the day, coming back home and thinking 'aaahhh….I'm HOME!' (versus, 'ugh, I'm still staring at these same 4 walls', which can be the case with WFH).
Also, you can't spend one month ''living' in NYC, and have insight as to what it's REALLY like to live here, day in and day out, and year after year.
I will say that everything in NYC just seems HARDER, vs in other cities. You also need to learn to talk fast, and what I mean by that is…not so much literally talking fast, but getting RIGHT to the point. As a perfect example, when I first moved here, I'd be in Midtown, and I'd need directions, and I'd timidly approach someone 'ummm… excuse me…can you tell me…', and just as fast as that, the person kept on walking. I now understand. They thought I was going to run some type of scam (and all the moreso because we were in Midtown). It's far better to say, quickly, (and so the other New Yorker knows EXACTLY why you are stopping them) ''scuse me, which way to 9th Ave?'
Living here is totally different than visiting here. If you are a sensitive person (as I am), it can be a struggle. While I'm very sensitive and sweet, I have also become very tough. It's all about survival…not wanting to be taken advantage of. It also really helps if you can figure out ways to decompress…. get away from the city now and then….or exercise regularly…get out in nature…. do yoga, etc.
As for the cost of living, sure, there's the stereotype of NYC being super expensive. However, keep in mind that there are MANY of poor folk who live here, as well as recent immigrants. NYC is not just Manhattan and Brooklyn. There are FIVE boroughs, and within each borough are dozens of neighborhoods, and within those neighborhoods are micro-neighborhoods. Every block is different, and on some blocks you will find luxury buildings next to old-school apartment buildings next to tenement/walkup buildings, next to a house built in the early 1900s and where the homeowners rent out a basement apartment. In other words, there is something for everybody. Sure, your commute into Manhattan may take an hour or more, but ….not all of us can live wherever we please. If that were the case, I'd be living in a luxury building in SoHo right now.
It's similar with food. NYC has 5-star restaurants, Dominican hole-in-the-wall spots, Greek diners, food trucks, and everything in between. You can live (rent) relatively cheaply, eat cheaply, and find lots of free/low cost entertainment.
My dream city
which camera and lens setup did you use for these vlogs? btw amazing looks 😀
Is it true y’all ain’t got sweet tea one of my buddies told me that

When he told his buddy I'm not gonna be able to pay u anymore. His homie looked at him; "like wtf did u just say to me?" He really rocked his world for a fraction of a second there.
My ex husband came to me and apologized for the wrongs he did and promise never to do it again.thanks #drjacob
Nice information
Has anyone else ever experienced the "New york buzz" when visiting? As in, the closer you get to the city, the energy in the air changes, and it's like you can feel the energy of all the people and the city itself as you get closer.
There's nothing documenting this phenomenon online, yet I've talked to a handful of people who've all said they can feel the vibe of the city as they are driving into it from CT, upstate, Jersey, etc..
I wonder if it's the vibrations from all the noise pollution, or the pheromones of millions of people.
You should be more humble tbh
My dream is to live here, but that's only a dream. Wont ever happen, ever, fuck no lmao.
I wish my anxiety wasn’t so debilitating. Ive always wanted to visit nyc but there is no way I could handle the crowds.
In the helicopter around nyc. Reminds me of GTA 4 lol
Wow
New York is actually like the movie even in reality and
New York looks just what l thought and
New York looks to much for me and
My god….$300 a month my jaw dropped… but your friend pays $2k a month to work in some public space? Why don’t you just work at your…work or home? The kind of money you guys are making is insane…
I think New York is a pretty good city just u should have to go it when you have a great job when you have a good situation, when you have a job, a family you love. It's a little bit… the city of succes. People who can live in this beautiful city, have succed their live ! that's just that it cost a lot but many of people aren just a minimum rich. And that's simply awesome !
This really is the gauntlet! You can't be sitting on your but for a second unless it's making you money or you thinking of a new way to make some money! This place can definitely churn out some amazing characters!
This is definitely not a realistic video for the common New Yorker. This is for a tourist or someone that’s visiting… AND if you are a real New Yorker you definitely have been robbed a time or two.
I'm sad the video was only 26min😭 .I dream of living in the US , probably coming to New York City when my grind starts paying 6 figures in US dollars.
I would like to move here. Where is the safest area to live in!
Real New York. The truth about New York https://youtu.be/reCkl2VpRnI

There are 5 boroughs in NY…you only reviewed the city.
