Senbonhama is the closest coastal area to Numazu Station and downtown Numazu City. It is known for being the most scenic spot on the Tokaido Highway, and the 300m-long beach that stretches along in front of a wooded area known locally as “Senbon Matsubara” has been selected as one of the top 100 sites with white sandy beaches and green pines in Japan. The night view here is considered the best in Numazu.
