Tbh i won't blame you if you won't try balut๐.. i also don't eat it but if you go to the Philippines there is this similar thing called penoy. It is similar to balut without the duck part so might as well try it ๐

Chili sauce is best with Lumpia.
In the Philippines the price you pay is worth it,that's if you'll go to the right place,,,, dynamite is really good,,,
You're asking if it's a real banana? Yes, it is. It's called saba. This has to be cooked rather than to be eaten raw. It's more tasty that way.
The bananas used in turon and banaque is not the normal long bananas instead we use a variant of banana called Saba( read as sa-ba ) it look stubby but have a wider width but is definitely shorter than the bananas commonly found on kitchen counters and tables
Edit:here in Cebu( idk if this variant exist in manila ) we also have Pinaypay which is called that because it looks like a Paypay pr in english a hand fan yk the ones you use manually, anyway its made using flour batter(sometimes is mixed with eggs so it looks bigger) and the same bana in turon Saba, its deep fried in oil until it becomes either golden brown or golden white then after its covered in White sugar
Edit: Lumpia uses minced pork or in local language Ginaling which means Grinded, personally i havent tasted Lumpia with beef
Edit3 :Ginaling is also its own different food you basically just stir fry it and add veggies of your liking
You guys are so natural the way you eat, laugh, appreciate, amazed, i mean all of ur reactions not over acting… thats why i love watching you both… stay safe always and praying for more subscribers… em looking forward to visit here in the Philippines coz its more fun here. God bless ๐โค๏ธ
the karate chop made me laugh hahaha
Oooooh interesting that you spent some time in Manila when you were a kiddd
Have a safe trip guys! from ๐ฆ๐ช to ๐ฎ๐ณ. ๐ต๐ญ is next! Prepare your selves to try BALUT. Lol
Actually the mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise would be the best sauce for dynamite..
You eating it wrong!there is a reason itโs hard shell and hard!
You soaked it to water for a while and whalaaa itโs soft
Donโt compare it with the usual ripe banana. What they use for turons are plantains.
You are getting closer and closer to the Philippines, we are your subscribers are excited for the arrival of the two of you. ๐ต๐ญ
Try more Filipino Foods as you guys can. Iโm enjoying watching you guys.โฅ๏ธ๐Iโm your new subscriber here.๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐คฃ๐คฃ
Vinegar is good for veggie lumpiaโs. The shanghai lumpiaโs are good for sweet and sour dipping.
That's called Saba another kind of banana in Philippines ๐ต๐ญ
The OFW kababayans singing happy birthday in the background are so typical Filipinos having a goodtime
Try eating turon with vanilla ice cream. Super yum!
hi TriFate new subscriber here enjoy your travel here
Fyi, kids. The reason there are a lot of cultural similarities between the Philippines and Mexico is because back in the 1800-1900, there was the Manila and Acapulco galleon trades where ships went back and forth to both countries conducting trade and business. That's how mangoes got to Mexico and the rest of South America (mangoes are native to the Philippines and India) and certain spices like the peppers got introduced to the Philippines.
My fellow Filipinos in Dubai please message these two and invite them to your party if you have. Thank you โค
I like both Turon or banana cue both delicious
Hi Trifate Iโm always watching u Iโm living also in dubai hoping to see u in personal.
Thank you for the video. I hope I see you making videos in the Philippines soon. โบ
The banana dish is called turon and the banana that we use is the "saba" variety which is often eaten cooked (boiled, fried, grilled).
That karate chop on the turon was epic! Nobody does that! But you chopped it.
So you ate a super sweet banana lumpia (turon) and then a hot and spicy dynamite.
Dynamite looks so good ๐ you can also try and eat at Andoks restaurant in Satwa, you can try other Filipino dish in there.
there are different types of bananas in the ph that 1 in the turon is saba. there's latundan, senorita etc. the banana imported around the world is cavendish. i know i hate that i know these things oh and cavendish is going to be extinct they haven't figure out how to counter the cavendish virus around the world hahaha!
The filipino food in that night market is no good, I have been there……
It's like banana fritter made of plantain banana and lumpia wrapper with sugar
