I'm glad to see that she's doing "better" but it still breaks my heart how much suffering she has endured and still enduring. She said something that was very profound by saying she wants to make people smile and while I commend/respect her for saying that, I truly hope and pray that she smiles/laughs genuinely because she has found true reason to do so. I'm afraid the trauma that she is still dealing with is causing such behavior of smiling and laughing to be a coping/defense mechanism. If I'm wrong, I'd be more than ecstatic for being wrong but if I'm not, I hope she can get some serious help dealing with such unimaginable painful experience caused by her family. Let's all pray that she will continue to come out of this as a better, healthier person!
I always refuse seeing the dark side of humanity but with eyes I guess we either thrive or suffer for it. Seeing this made me question why the world is unfair.
I feels sorry for this girl. Her parents and brother are all trash people. It's sad that outsider neighbor actually love her more than her real family. The way she explained how her parents and brother treated her to me they are bunch of criminals and even the stupid police or wannabe police are on their side seems so corrupted damn! I think she lives in America the police would have helped her instead since the law believe more on the female side than the male. American law is much better than Japan. It feels like Japan is still a Yakuza country.

I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that she can find a light in the face of such a dark drama and that this beautiful Japanese woman can have a bright future. Followed her instagram awhile back, so I have seeing updates from her. But man, just want to say that even if most of us are supporting her, I've seen some english comments on her instagram that are the opposite. sheesh.
daymn her life is full of pain, some thing like "you're hurt when your partner is cheating, but are you also okay knowing your partner already sleep with other person?" must be her daily life for the roof above her head, i hope she will get a lot better life in the future 🥲 also if you're in needs of money check Islam, i hope that can help😄

the fact that she had the proof of the abuse right literally on her person, and the police still didn't believe her becuse her abuser was a ''respected'' person make me sick, it's thier sworn duty to protect innocent children like her, serously the people in charge needs to get thier heads out of thier asses and fix things so young ladies like eguen can live without fear of being hurt or worse

After the food you can see some of her grief going away but it is still there. Hope we can make her more happy and hopefully she finds a safe place to live happily without fear.
Unfortunately, the veneer of Japan having a low crime rate is only a half truth. Low in violent crimes and
theft, but r*p3, s*x abuse, and related ones are still prevalent. Despicable cops! My car was somewhat
vandalized, but not damaged and those idiot cops could not even talk to the guy that did it. They just
want to collect a pay check for doing nothing! A lot of them are useless and should be fired!
I think Eguen is an uncommon or rare innately good person. She's definitely special
and inspiring. She's had a horrible life and yet her personality sparkles like a
brilliant gem. We all can learn how to be more optimistic just by watching her. May
she have a fulfilled and joyous life.
