Yesterday, September 7, 2021, at approximately 8:47 p.m., an earthquake with magnitude 7.1 was registered at 11 km from
(Sept 07, 2021)

Acapulco, Mexico. At the moment (09-08-2021, 08:32 h) no material or human losses have been reported.

During the earthquake, a series of strange lights were observed in Mexico City. Some said it could be a sign of a major earthquake coming, others simply did not know what was happening.

The lights that appear as blue lightning bolts in the sky are electrical discharges produced by the friction on the rocks generated by the earthquake.

Some rocks, such as basalt and gabbro, contain crystals with imperfections, which, when rubbing against each other, generate electrical charges that accumulate and dissipate into the atmosphere.

If you ever see these lights during an earthquake, don’t be alarmed. Instead, enjoy, as it is believed to only occur in 0.5% of the world’s earthquakes.

  4. ☆☆☆ now that is so creepy shit with all of those lights flashing in the sky. At first while watching this video I thought maybe it was simply Transformers blowing up or popping a zit is a common thing. But as the video light on at late show was creepy almost like in War of the Worlds when the aliens came down from the sky

  5. It's called plasma lightning.
It is beginning to happen on a global scale today. It will intensify and become more frequent and deadlier within time. Our atmosphere is changing bc of our sun which effects everything in our solar system. Earth is about to become deadlier by every weather phenomenon change we are seeing today.
    It is otherwise known as,
    The end of this age.
Apocalyptic events with bring about the end of this age.

    Are you ready?
    Is your heart right?
    Is Jesus your messiah?
Or are you of this world?
Time is running out' can't you see?

  6. Troy black on YouTube prophesies about this before it happened. God said he was going to show blue lights it has nothing to do with static electricity. ITS GOD!

  7. Lord Almighty forbid. Astaghfirullah. I also hv been warned that something similar to this will happen in Pakistan.

  8. El ladrón no viene sino para hurtar y matar y destruir; yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia.

  9. It's power transformers and cables shorting out due to the swaying, you can tell due to the 50HZ hum you hear very loudly when it occurs nearby and the blue color.

  10. In all the videos I watched of this event (couple dozen), I haven't seen a single lightning streak (from sky to ground) and heard only a couple explosions (no thunder).

I've watched lot of lightning in my life, and have a deep understanding of electrical discharge. I've never seen multi-color explosions of light in the sky that has been explained. Try looking for it. People have 'hypotheses' but they cannot explain the wavelength of the light changing or being isolated.

The explosions on the ground could be transformers but the surrounding buildings lights are not going off. Having witnessed many transformer explosions, it's unusual.

The light explosions happen in the sky and seem isolated there. Lightning doesn't travel from cloud to cloud without touching the ground.

We can try to explain these with the realm of the 'known' but you have to account for all the anomalies i've mentioned or the model is incomplete but pretending to be complete (saying "are", "is").

Ancient texts have spoken about 'light weapons' and this reminds me of Fort Worth explosions and other events in the past. This is the first time I've seen clear light explosions in the sky that don't touch the ground.

Watch every video you can on this event and you'll see what I mentioned above.

  11. They're literally just exploding transformers and other elctrical grid related things, nothing werid about them.
It's crazy how people just belive this "Earthquake light" crap when the explaination is so mundane and obvious.

  12. So earthquakes are man-made? Could someone tell me why there is a climate-change warning on this video!🎪

  13. Can we confidently assert that an aurora does not cause or provoke the slip and rebound of a fault?Saying an earthquake causes aurora like phenomena is only hypothetical, a mechanism needs to be identified. The repeating flashes to the right of the tallest building are the right color for a high voltage arc, bluish-white. It's flashes are repeated a dozen or more times in exactly ONE location, the most probable culprit is a high voltage power station experiencing multiple shorts, and/or transformers exploding. To my mind the occurrence of electrical shorts and explosions at power stations is highly likely to happen as the result, not the cause of a quake. It also occurred to me that if this were a piezoelectric phenomena it might appear at the moment of the fault's movement. I suppose continued geomagnetic build up of static could occur, with one or more areas discharging vast amounts of stored energy, but again we need data. I suspect light created would be seen by those far from the epicenter as occurring WELL before the P and S waves arrive at their location not after, but I'm not a geophysicist. The other issue I have with the video is that some of the "lights" look exactly like lightning. I double checked and there was a strong storm over the city exactly during this event. We can safely assume thunderstorms do not cause earthquakes, or at least not directly. Truly, I would love for this phenomenon to be real, it's the kind of discovery that often brings new blood into scientific careers! However, I think the best we can say of these videos of "lights" is that further investigation is warranted. It isn't even remotely silly to consider the possibility that tectonic events could produce their version of rubbing slippers on carpet and getting a shock from a door knob, but we need to collect real, solid data. Also, we need a ton of data points about the ground conductivity and any geomagnetic anomalies need to be measured. There are so many questions to ask about this! Does any similar activity occur during daylight quakes, and if these lights are indeed related to them is there a timeline or pattern? How might we measure/capture them in broad daylight? If real, do these lights only occur in certain geomagnetically unique areas? Another oddball hypothesis is that a big storm with large amounts of rain can trigger an earthquake by stressing a nearby fault past its coefficient of friction, but I'm not aware of strong evidence for it. It is telling to me that we captured an explosive meteorite on film, but we have no footage of "quake lights" in areas with no electric grid. Again I don't claim these events are mythological, just undemonstrated. I'd say we have good reason to remain skeptical, for now, but we do have good reason to investigate. I will readily admit that several of the flashes look unusual. To my eyes, the "unusual" ones don't look quite like lightning, have a marked blue color extremely similar to a welding or other electrical arc, but seem to appear a great distance off the ground. The blue color (purple and white are also common) is created where air is ionized. In the Troposphere where we live nitrogen and oxygen comprise 78%, for N² and 21% for O². Here is a link that, IMHO, produces an undeniably similar phenomenon. No, It is not a perfect match, but it is far far far closer than anything else I can find.
