🇲🇽Welcome to another Mexico Travel video and the first of two videos from the amazing and beautiful TAXCO, MEXICO. It’s tme to check some awesome things to do in Taxco! Taxco is located in Guerrero state, about 2.5hrs bus ride south of Ciudad de Mexico. It’s another Pueblo Magico (Magic Town), with a Zocalo, great shopping (including silver) and best of all, spectacular views!
In this video I visit the Zocalo, Parroquia de Santa Prisca y San Sebastían (Church), local markets, Mina Prehispánica de Taxco (Silver mine beneath a hotel) and Teleferico Taxco (Cable Car).
Taxco is often forgotten about in terms of a travel destination, often passed over for the more popular and tourist orientated Guanajuato. But I loved it!
Check out my Mexico Playlist including videos from Teotihuacan, Chichen Itza, Isla Holbox and so many areas of Mexico City!

Great video David!. There are over 120 Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns) in Mexico. Visit as many as you can!
Gracias!!! Próximo viaje Taxco!!!
Wow just wow , this is not the Mexico the media would love us to believe . It’s beautiful just beautiful, top video and brilliantly put together . Cheers pal 👍 I don’t think I’ll ever get over how the real Mexico is just stunning. I feel like if I ever meet a Mexican i need to hug them and apologise for listening to the media . If you don’t read a paper your uninformed and if you do read it your misinformed lol that’s how it feels
Astounding! This is perhaps one of my favorite videos of yours. Excellent work!

This is kind of funny. I was asking you about where to go in Japan a while back(we ended up going to Yamanakako). I was in Mexico when I was asking that. Was in Mexico most of 2018 actually. I lived in Taxco for a couple months back in 2017 too. Had a great apartment for 2500 pesos a month all bills included. Awesome view.
That's my favorite Mexican cathedral right next to the one in Zacatecas.
Wonderful. Thank you. This brings back so many good memories. I was there in the late 80s and, like you, bused in from Mexico City. The Church of Santa Prisca seems to have been restored since I was there. I remember it being gloomy with flickering candles, and in dire need of restoration. The cable car of that time looked rickety, like it could fall apart, but the view up was as fantastic as in your video. The Montetaxco Hotel looks the same. I don''t remember the name, but I doubt it was a Holiday Inn, as someone commented. It was fairly expensive even back then. So glad you included a market. The one I visited, downhill and quite close to Santa Prisca, had all of the produce arranged in meticulous pyramids. Children played games, ran around among squawking chickens, colorful blankets, stalls, and the high stone walls cut into mountain's earthiness. For me, the zocalo, market, and church cast a spell of magical realism over the whole place. Beautifully crafted silver was about 20% cheaper than in NYC, but my favorite shop made inexpensive hand carved furniture. I still have a chair from there. Your trip to the silver mine may be a more recent attraction. Taxco didn't remind me of Japan (although I didn't visit Nagasaki, as you did), but that's the magic of Taxco. It seems to bring things up out of our subconscious. I've saved your video. It's a treasure because it shows that my memory of Taxco is real, and it's as alive as ever. Thanks again, David — and thanks to America's Mexican neighbors for being as enchanted and enchanting as they are.
