Avenue 26 Taco Stand’s tacos are considered by some to be the best in Los Angeles, and possibly the entire country (Insider said so in 2017). They serve $1 tacos right off a long grill on the street, with people lining up all night for these delicious tacos. As one of the essential restaurants on the eastside of LA, Ave 26 is known for carne asada, al pastor, and suadero tacos. Insider’s Joe Avella visited with L.A. Taco’s Javier Cabral to learn about this street-taco institution, why they are so popular, and to try these beloved tacos.

  1. This was at at start of the pandemic and we were supposed to be quarantined during this time and these ppl are out here eating tacos and spreading COVID, no wonder CA exploded with COVID‼️

  2. We need to fight for that right in miami Beach!
    Aka Rip off city!
Use to be great back in the day, nowadays a pizza and a drink will cost you 12 bucks and it sucks.

  3. I'm glad the talkative guy got interviewed!
I gotta say, now I know a shit ton about street tacos!
In Houston the taco trucks sells 4 for 12 bucks and rice and beans. The rice and beans were fire.

  4. Wow Tacos ? Foreigners get amazed by any little thing, especially cause they don’t have culture , the only thing they invented was Racism. 😂

  5. If someone could give me the exact location of this spot,it would be very appreciated. I know the area well. I know it near Dodger Stadium, Lincoln heights, and I know the Metro Goldline is right on Ave 26. Yelp is telling me its on a different street. Not on Ave 26. Right?

  6. I’m tired of seeing videos about food in LA and in the hood and they bring out some dorky white guy who didn’t grow up here to host and who has no clue what he’s talking about. Cuddos to the guy in glasses bc he gave a nice run down on what to order and how to have a better taco experience at Ave 26.

  7. The guy in glasses could have given all the facts b4 they got the tacos lol… that guy's starving & had to eat cold tacos in the end lmao… $1 tacos & now it's probably $10 tacos.

  8. As some that lives in Mexico, they like to switch the sauces up. Don’t ever trust the color jajaj

  9. A good rule of pastor tacos if they still have to guillasar after being grilled. Is not going to be good. -sorry

  10. Folk it's just Tacos…it's not gonna pay ur rent 4 a year….standing in line to eat Tacos…yeaaaa sure…I have a social life n eating isn't 1 of them

  11. For anyone new to the taco game, the smaller the taco… the better the taco. Not sure why but that’s just the laws of taco physics. You’re welcome in advanced.

  12. I will never ever forget, while i was living in a God forsaked slum in Chiapas in the south of Mexico one afternoon while going out for a smoke i found this taqueria, literally in the middle of nowhere. I ate the most succulent delicious and clean tacos de ubre (cow tits) of my life. That day my concept of what a good taco is was shattered and destroyed. From that day onwards i am but a shell of a man, roaming among taquerias trying to find the same experience and failing every single time
